Bradford K. Burdette

Brad Burdette has 35 years of litigation experience, including over 20 years with a major Dallas law firm. Drawing on an accomplished background in business litigation that often involved fiduciary relationships, Brad focuses on representing individuals who find themselves in disputes involving a trust, probate estate, or guardianship. These disputes often occur in the middle of already challenging, emotionally charged circumstances, such as the death or incapacity of a family member. Brad handles a variety of these types of matters, including contesting the validity of wills, trust agreements, or powers of attorney because of undue influence, lack of mental capacity, or fraud; enforcing the rights of beneficiaries against executors and trustees—often family members—who refuse to comply with their extensive fiduciary duties; and obtaining guardianships to allow individuals to provide additional care and protections to loved ones who are unable to care for themselves.

A Dallas native, Brad grew up in Oak Cliff. He attended St. Mark’s School of Texas and graduated from Yale University before returning to Dallas to attend law school at Southern Methodist University. Based on nominations by his peers in recognition of his talents, experience, and commitment, Brad received a “Rising Star” recognition by Texas Monthly magazine and has been selected for The Best Lawyers in America® each year since 2021.
