Born and raised in Los Angeles, Rebecca earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in History and English at the University of California, Los Angeles, graduating cum laude, with College Honors, and as a member of Phi Beta Kappa. In May 2013, she received her Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Southern California Gould School of Law, where she participated in the Hale Moot Court Honors Program and worked as a student representative for LexisNexis. While in law school, Rebecca quickly discovered her passion for probate and estate planning, and she was the first intern ever hired by the esteemed estate planning firm Givner & Kaye in Los Angeles.
Immediately after graduating from law school, Rebecca moved to the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex and pursued probate judicial clerkships in both Tarrant County and Dallas County simultaneously. While clerking for the Honorable Judge Steven King in Tarrant County Probate Court No. 1, she assisted Judge King in drafting a manual for lawyers on the subject of uncontested matters in Texas probate court. In Dallas County Probate Court No. 2, under the Honorable Judge Chris Wilmoth, Rebecca reviewed applications for hearings set on the court’s docket, and reviewed inventories and final accounts.
Rebecca became licensed to practice law as a member of the State Bar of Texas in May 2014. She gained admittance to the State Bar of California in December 2014. She is certified as an attorney ad litem in Texas Courts. Rebecca is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the Texas Young Lawyers Association, and the Real Estate, Probate, and Trust Law section of the Texas Bar Association. She is also a member of the Dallas Hispanic Bar Association, the Estate Planning and Probate section of the Dallas Bar Association, and the Trial Skills section of the Dallas Bar Association.
