The Texas Probate Code provides a number of ways to handle the affairs of a deceased person, including the transfer of title to property to the heirs of the deceased. If the deceased had a Will, often the most practical choice is to probate the Will; however, if there is no Will, other options short of full court supervised administration are examined to determine the most practical and cost effective procedure.

I endeavor to resolve a dispute in the early stages of the case before attorney fees rise to a level that impedes resolution. Impressive
I emailed Byron on Saturday morning. He telephoned me Saturday afternoon. Byron spent 50 minutes on the telephone with me. He was knowledgeable and kind and gave me a multitude of information as well as answering all of my questions. I contacted Byron on behalf of my brother. I spoke to my brother at length on Sunday about Byron and strongly suggested he hire him to do his will. Monday, my brother asked me for Byron's information so that he could make an appointment with him.

Great Attorney
Byron Woolley represented me in a probate case, after concerns turned up with my previous attorney. He made every effort to help me resolve this problem professionally and in a timely manner. Byron returned my calls promptly and answered my questions in detail to help me understand what was happening with my case. He talked me through every concern that I had and I always felt comforted after talking with him. I will, without a shadow of a doubt, use his services again and recommend him to anyone who needs a referral.

CISO (Chief Information Security Officer
Byron Woolley has been our Corporate and Family Attorney for over three decades. As our attorney, he has helped in a myriad of ways. From negotiating long-term office space lease agreements to the stock sale of our sixteen-year-old corporation. From a family perspective, he has helped with Divorce negotiations, Powers of Attorney, Estate Planning and Probate. His acuity, knowledge, courtroom, and negotiation gravitas in multiple legal disciplines was invaluable to our corporation and is still valuable to our family. While you know that you are not his only client, Byron and his team have a way of making you feel that you are. His legal acumen is second to none! Darren

Very Helpful with Probate Question
After seeing all the great reviews online for Mr. Woolley, I decided to call him regarding the possible need for probate for my mother's recent passing. I had to leave a voice message and he returned my call very quickly. He was very pleasant and asked me to explain my situation and describe my mother's estate. He was extremely helpful and based on the information I had given he did not feel there was a need for probate. There was one question I had regarding the filing of future taxes with the IRS, and not having a definitive answer, he referred me to his own CPA. I felt very comfortable talking with Mr. Woolley and if I ever need an attorney to handle future issues regarding probate, I will certainly use his services.

He helped when no other attorneys would take my case
I had been dealing with a horrible owner finance contract for over a decade and could not find an attorney that would follow through and help me end the contract with my buyers. The contract didn't involve a ton of money, but Byron was still willing to help me out. We got the deal done and I appreciate the hard work from his office and highly recommend them.

Good Trusted Lawyer
Byron did an excellent job representing me against a large bank holding company and a federal agency. I initially was very intimated by these two very large adversaries. Byron was able to explain very complex legal issues to something I could understand, Byron is person of high integrity and honest. I was blessed to find an attorney like Byron to represent me.

Terrific!!
We hired Byron to get us through a probate case as we lived out of state. I am so glad we did! He was always available (even when he went on vacation!) to answer my questions and concerns, and I had many! He helped me keep my sanity through the long process and was very friendly, knowledgeable, and professional through it all. I would highly recommend Byron to anyone needing an attorney to represent them.

Byron Woolley is a probate law dynamo!
I live in another state and needed a probate attorney to settle my father’s estate in Texas. After researching and calling several other attorneys, one of them gave me Byron’s information and recommended him HIGHLY. From our first conversation to our last, Byron demonstrated his professional acumen and intimate knowledge of probate law, through his keen sense of humor and sharp wit. The legal process can be long, but it need not be. Byron knows when to wait and when to move. He was straightforward with me at all times and made sure I understood my legal options at every turn… So, to those of you reading this, I am paying it forward: I give my HIGHEST and most sincere recommendation of Byron Woolley as a probate attorney. If you are searching like I once was, call him and see for yourself.

Best Attorney Ever!
Byron Wooley is an excellent attorney. He handled a probate case for me with efficiency and compassion. I don't live in the Dallas area, so communication was done primarily through phone calls and emails. He was always available to answer questions, walk me through each step of the process, and offer encouragement when it was needed most. He earned my unqualified recommendation!

He's a wonderful lawyer!
This man is an amazing lawyer. I live in WA state, but I had legal matters I needed handled in Dallas. Mr. Woolley is extremely professional and polite, and he consistently kept me in the loop. As there is reciprocity between Texas and Washington, I intend to continue using his services.

Compassionate and knowledgeable
Mr. Woolley accepted my case, with its specifics and not an easy one, with compassion not found while searching for an attorney in Dallas. I live in Alabama so a face-to-face meeting was not possible. He did not promise a rose garden but promised to dig in, communicate with me and look out for my best interest. I felt at ease after speaking with him. I would recommend him again.

Review of Byron Woolley
I live in another state and considered several attorneys. Most tried to rush me off the phone before barely listening to my issue or immediately discussed the costs of their service before listening to my concerns. Byron returned my call promptly, took time to listen to me, answered my questions in a thorough, complete manner, discussed strategy and what was possible with me even before I paid him and in general helped me discuss through what was possible to achieve and what wasn't. He appears honest, straight forward, knowledgeable and in general I really enjoyed talking to him and having him help me. I now have a business matter that I will have him handle as well and any and all future legal issues, I will refer to him. I can't say enough good things about Byron and I highly recommend him.

A True Advocate
I have been living abroad for 11 years. I had to rely on the Internet to find an attorney in Dallas, TX. I read Byron Woolley´s reviews on AVVO and sent him an email to which he promptly replied. I could not believe it! I wrote to about 20 lawyers in a 15-day period. I also made calls. Only one other lawyer took my call and honestly, was pretty rude. I set up a telephone consultation with Byron and it was like we had known each other from the days when I lived in Dallas, TX. He was everything everyone had said in their reviews. Soft spoken, well mannered, unassuming, listens calmly, evaluates your needs and gives you his professional opinion in such a way that even if it´s not what you expected or wanted to hear, you can see the reasoning behind it. He had the most calming effect on me and … I was a mess! Let´s face it, when we need a lawyer it´s because we have a problem and when we have a problem we appreciate a little sympathy. What lead me to Byron were reviews from clients of 20 and 25 years and now I know why.

Highly Recommend for All Your Business Needs
We had a good fortune of finding Mr. Woolley through a referral service. We were greatly impressed with the representation and legal counsel we received throughout the settlement. The understanding of the case specifics and legal advice were efficient and thorough. The case resolution was timely and final. Due to the confidence in Mr. Woolley, we were able to focus on our business instead of the legal issues. Should the need for legal representation arise, we are definitely calling Mr. Woolley.
