Mark E. Stradley

Mark Stradley is Board Certified in both Civil Trial Law and in Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. He was born in Dallas, Texas in 1959. He graduated with honors from The University of the South, Sewanee, Tennessee with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science in 1981 and received his Juris Doctor from Texas Tech University Law School in 1984, where he served on award winning Moot Court is a member of Beta Theta Pi and Phi Delta working part-time when not in school, Mark came to Stradley, Schmidt, Stephens & Wright full-time in became a partner in Stradley, Schmidt & Wright in 1991 and continued his practice with Stradley & Wright until 2011.

His many years of trial experience have focused primarily on the defense of civil lawsuits involving automobile injury, premises liability, structure collapses, fires and explosions, Dram shop, products liability, insurance coverage and bad faith, sexual molestation, fraternity hazing, employment, business and construction cases. He has also represented plaintiffs in a variety of injury cases and has an active pro bono practice.

He is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates, where he has attained its highest rank is a member of the Texas Association of Defense Counsel, American Bar Association, Dallas Bar Association and Dallas Association of Young Lawyers. He served as President of the Dallas Chapter of The American Board of Trial Advocates in 2007 and still serves on the Executive has served on the Board of Directors of the Texas Association of Defense Counsel from 1996-1999 and from 2007 - is a member of the College of the State Bar of Texas. He has been named a Texas Monthly Super Lawyer for each year since this award was initiated in is a Life Fellow in the Texas Bar Foundation and a Fellow in the Dallas Bar Foundation and ABOTA received the honor of National Order of Barristers in 1984 and received the Medal for Excellence in Advocacy, American College of Trial Lawyers, is licensed in all Texas state courts by the State Bar of Texas, and is licensed in federal court by the U.S. District Court, Northern District of Texas, the U. S. District Court, Eastern District of Texas, and the U. S. Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit.

PERSONAL

Mark is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys hunting, fishing, camping, hiking, flying, scuba diving and various spectator events such as Dallas Cowboy football games, Texas Ranger baseball games, Mavericks basketball games and Stars hockey games. In addition, he is often a participant in intramural basketball games, coed softball and trivia bowl. He and his wife Cathy, have three sons - Stephen, Christopher and Michael - all of whom were Eagle not practicing law, his time has been devoted to the Boy Scouts by organizing and attending various trips and campouts, including backpacking, canoeing, scuba diving, sailing, rock climbing and volunteering at fundraisers such as working the parking lots of Texas Stadium and assisting with the Troop's American flag Stradleys are longtime members of Lovers Lane United Methodist Church in Dallas.
