Mr. Tkach grew up in Oklahoma City, where he graduated from high school in 1981. He continued his education at the University of Oklahoma, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a major in finance. After working for a few years, Mr. Tkach started law school at Oklahoma City University School of Law. After completing his first year, he transferred to Southern Methodist University School of Law, where he earned the degree of Doctor of Jurisprudence in 1992.
Mr. Tkach began his legal career at a small litigation law firm in Dallas, Texas. Less than a year later, he accepted a position with a large regional law firm in Dallas, where he remained for seven years. At that time, Mr. Tkach’s law practice focused primarily on commercial litigation and insurance defense cases, including medical malpractice, car wrecks, and asbestos cases. During that time, Mr. Tkach honed his litigation and trial skills and gained insight into how insurance companies defend car wreck and other personal injury cases. More importantly, he learned the circumstances causing insurance companies to pay more money to settle injury cases.
In 1999, Mr. Tkach started The Law Office of Todd E. Tkach, P.C. With a drive for success, and a passion for representing those who have been injured by the negligence of others, Mr. Tkach quickly established a successful personal injury trial practice throughout North Texas. Mr. Tkach has represented hundreds of people who have been injured as a result of the negligence of others. The types of cases include car wrecks, 18-Wheeler accidents, motorcycle accidents, construction site injuries, workplace accidents, defective premises, products liability, medical malpractice, and wrongful death. With the success he achieved with personal injury cases, and at the request of his loyal clients, Mr. Tkach expanded his law practice to include criminal defense, including all felonies, misdemeanors and traffic citations.
Mr. Tkach is licensed by the Texas Supreme Court to practice law in any Texas State Court, including all Municipal Courts, County Courts, County Courts at Law, Courts of Appeal, The Texas Court of Criminal Appeals and the Texas Supreme Court. He has also been admitted to practice law in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas and the United States 5th Circuit Court of Appeals. Mr. Tkach is also a member of the State Bar of Texas and the Dallas Bar Association.

Top notch professional team at the Law Office of Todd E. Tkach.
As a Canadian truck driver, Mr. Tkach showed his knowledge in law by presenting a no-biasness toward our place of residency. Mr. Tkach had my traffic citation dismissed. I recommend Mr. Tkach to any trucker needing his services.

Incompetent lawyer and staff
I retained Todd Tkach to represent me for a speeding ticket in the City of Grapevine. He appeared and received a deferred adjudication, but then never notified me of this and forgot to send me a notification for show cause hearing to prevent the ticket from going unpaid, and then it went into warran...
Mark you retained me to represent you for an outstanding warrant for a speeding citation in the Grapevine Municipal Court. We posted a surety bond, which lifted the warrant. We then appeared in court for you on April 10, 2017. At that time, we entered a plea, which kept this citation off of your driving record. You claim that we never sent you notice of the plea. However, three days after the plea, on April 13, 2017, we sent you a “Case Over Letter” notifying you of the plea and instructing you on how, where and when to make your fine payment. The Case Over Letter was sent to you by regular mail and email. On that same day, the letter was also uploaded to our online case management system for you to view and a notice that the letter was available for you to view was emailed to you from our computer system. On that same day, we also sent you a text message to your cell phone number informing you that we had resolved your case and instructed you to check your mail, email or login to our system to view the Case Over Letter. So, three days after the plea, we notified you of the result of your case in 4 different ways: 1.) regular mail, 2.) email, 3.) online, and 4.) text message. Unfortunately, you never made your fine payment. For that reason, the court set a show cause hearing for August 17, 2017. On July 7, 2017, the Court mailed you a notice of the Show Cause hearing, instructing you to be in court on August 17, 2017. You did not appear in court and you have denied receiving that notice, as well. As you well know, our representation of you did NOT include representation at a show cause hearing. We didn’t hear from you until approximately October 20, 2017 when you apparently received notice that the court had issued a warrant. At that time, you called us and hired me once again and paid me an additional fee to try to correct your failure to pay your fine. Had we failed to notify you of the original plea, as you claim, why would you call me and pay me an additional fee to correct the problem? We have tried to work with you to solve your problem. I have called you twice today, but you have not taken my calls. However, you did call and talk with one of my assistants, who informed me that you began yelling, used bad language and hung up on her.
