Ezekiel Tyson Jr. is a native of New Orleans, Louisiana. Attorney Tyson received his undergraduate degree and J.D. from the University of Houston. Licensed in 2002 Mr. Tyson started his legal career working with several small civil firms in Houston. Attorney Tyson then prosecuted for the City of Houston, handling trial and appellate cases. In 2004 Ezekiel Tyson Jr. relocated to Dallas Tx and launched the Tyson Law Firm. Attorney Tyson has handled a wide variety of civil and criminal matters and numerous trials. Attorney Tyson has tried and won a wide variety of cases from speeding tickets to murders! Attorney Tyson’s practice primarily involves trying cases where he defends people accused of state or federal crimes. Attorney Tyson’s cases have been chronicled in the Dallas Morning newspaper, on Fox 4 news, on the television show “After the First 48”, and various other media outlets and television shows. Attorney Tyson is a past president of the Dallas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, the oldest criminal defense organization in America. He is also proud to serve annually as a faculty member of the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association’s Trial College. Attorney Tyson has had the honor of presenting numerous CLEs on trial preparation, trial techniques, etc. on behalf of the State Bar of Texas, Dallas Association of Young Lawyers, Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, and other organizations. Attorney Tyson enjoys giving back to the community through various endeavors including volunteering with the Dallas Community Police Oversight Board, Mile of Freedom re entry program, Habitat for Humanity, serving at the North Texas Food Bank, volunteering at Union Gospel Mission shelter, etc.

Sometimes it’s not “can you defend someone” but “the strategy” that’s used for the defense. My 19 year old nephew had committed the offence and written & signed a full confession. Mr. Tyson did not argue my nephew’s guilt, but argued/pleaded for how the offense(s) were going to be structured. My n...
