I would recommend Marilynn to anyone needing a family law attorney. She has such extensive experience that she has seen it before, done it before and most importantly, won it before. She handed a difficult post-divorce custody modification for me and did a brilliant job of it. She somehow bala...nces being tough and kind and understanding while never losing sight of what's best for the child. Marilynn is an excellent lawyer who works to make the most of the time you pay her for.

Marilynn is very knowledgeable of all of family laws. Because of this, she's smart enough to know when other attorneys are trying to play dirty and knows how to adequately respond. Also, she cares about her clients and their situation. She wants to do what's best for her clients and will advocate ...zealously until it happens. I would recommend her to anyone with a divorce or custody dispute.

Marilynn CARES. She really cares about what is best for the children. And she refuses to "bend the rules". If you want someone to play dirty, Marilynn is NOT the one for you. She is one intense fireball who is passionate and therefore is successful by being extremely knowledgeable about intricate ...rules and fine points. Her strong point is not putting up with dirty attorneys, but patiently backing them into a corner. She loves to work with ethical attorneys, and can get a lot done if your attorney will shoot straight. VERY HARD WORKING. She does expect you to do your part in terms of producing what she asks of you. Bottom line? Cares about what is best for the children, works her tail off, is passionate, and won't let others get away with dirty tricks. Clients whose attorneys went up against Marilynn, and lost, have recommended Marilynn to their friends. That speaks volumes. She focuses on what is important, not what may be your personal "agenda" as a client. Again, she insists on playing up and up, but she is so good at it she doesn't have to play dirty like others.

Marilynn works by a very inflexible, expensive retainer, and the second that it s empty - which will be very quick! - she stops working on the case until you fill it up again...a very deep money pit. She does not offer any hybrid, contingency, or payment plan options like some other family law attorn...eys. She is all about the buck. And I doubt whether she truly cares about her clients unless she is trying to get more money out of them. She is very ruthless and uncaring. She comes across as sweet and caring at first, but it is all an act to get you to sign the retainer agreement - hook, line, and sinker. Her office does an adequate job of complying with ABA standards on keeping you informed, but they will charge you for every stamp, fax, and photocopy they can! Overall, I feel that it is my duty to warn others that there are better, less expensive and more caring attorneys in the Dallas/Fort Worth metro area.
