I grew up in New Orleans, Louisiana. I was one of eight children, did not have a “privileged” upbringing, but am extremely grateful for my parents’ many sacrifices. They instilled in me a work ethic that I carry with me to this day.

Throughout my years, I have overcome many personal and professional challenges. I now devote my professional life to helping clients overcome their financial challenges.

Don Gave Us Our New Start!

Everything leading up to our decision to file Bankruptcy was extremely stressful. My wife and I toiled for more than a year trying to figure out a way to avoid bankruptcy. When we finally made the decision to go the route of Chapter 7, we sought out the most reputable attorneys, and we we specifica...lly looked for only those who "specialized" in Bankruptcy as their sole focus, area of expertise. We spoke with 5 different firms, and finally chose Don Hood. Mr. Hood had exceptional references and testimonials from real clients. The first time we called Don, we got his voicemail, and within 5 minutes (over the Christmas holidays) he called us back. Don was very thorough, and covered all aspects of our situation - and believe me, I asked A LOT of questions pertinent to our case. Don didn't try to sell us on who we was, and he didn't have to. His knowledge and expertise was well beyond any other attorney we had previously spoken to. When we had our Meeting of Creditors, Don was cool, calm, and collect, and had already prepared us for the meeting. There wasn't anything we had questions about, and everything went just as Don had told us it would. We filed our case at the end of January, and had our Meeting of Creditors in early March. Today, we received our Discharge and the bankruptcy is finished. We our now at the beginning of a fresh start. To say "thank you" to Don Hood isn't enough. We highly recommend Don Hood's firm to anyone that is seeking Bankruptcy resolution. Don was always prompt in returning calls, emails, and general correspondence. He is friendly, understanding, and KNOWS the Bankruptcy Laws backwards and forwards.

Effective & Very Efficient !

Don helped me a couple of years ago with the process of bankruptcy. He was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions and concerns. A couple of weeks ago I needed some paperwork from when I filed for bankruptcy a couple of years ago and he was able to email it to me immediately. Help with filing a Bankruptcty Case

Hi, I had a foreclosure pending for March 7 2017 on Tuesday. I had tried multiple multiple attorneys’ phone numbers that weekend before the scheduled foreclosure trying to desperately get help. No one apparently worked on the weekend. I finally got hold of Mr. Hood. He was sooooo considerate in l...istening to me and what had happened and how desperate I was to save my house. Mr. Hood listened then explained to me my options on the different Chapters of Bankruptcy and was willing to meet me that day on Saturday in his office. I felt so relieved by him just listening to me and actually understanding what I was saying. I did have one attorney call me back late on Saturday only listened to me a short time and stated to me that I had created a mess. She said she wouldn’t help me on Saturday she had other plans. I thanked her for calling and ended the telephone call. I am going to recommend Mr. Hood to anyone that needs help in Bankruptcy. If I could give Mr. Hood more than 5 stars I would give him 10 stars.
