I grew up in New Orleans, Louisiana. I was one of eight children, did not have a “privileged” upbringing, but am extremely grateful for my parents’ many sacrifices. They instilled in me a work ethic that I carry with me to this day.

Throughout my years, I have overcome many personal and professional challenges. I now devote my professional life to helping clients overcome their financial challenges.

Phenomenal Class Act Attorney

I've never filed for bankruptcy before and was unsure of the options available to me. I called Don and he took the time to go over my finances and to discuss my options. He told me "Iris I'm going to give you the same advice I would give my sister" and he did just that. He is extremely knowledgeable ...on bankruptcy law and made me feel comfortable with the recommendations that he made for me. I always felt that he had my best interest at heart and that he wanted me to come out of bankruptcy in a better financial situation. He has been amazing! I researched several attorneys and compared costs and I am so thankful that I selected Don, not only was his prices less than other attorneys but the quality of his service is above par. I would highly recommend Mr. Hood to anyone seeking a healthier financial future.

Excellent Attorney

I researched bankruptcy attorneys and I chose Mr.Hood (he tells you to call him Don) because he has over 250 positive reviews at AVVO web site. When I first called him, he made me feel like everything was going to be okay. He listened to my stories and concerns (2 Law suits and 1 Judgment against my ...house), and after my first meeting, I see why he is so loved. He is truly gifted and makes you feel like you are special and that he is your friend. I was surprised by his toughness. He's a straight shooter and gives you the feeling that he will protect your rights. I spoke to two other bankruptcy attorneys with Avvo 10 in Houston and they came off as distant - I had to describe my situation to subordinates to get an appointment. I did my research and I'm convinced and know I could not have gotten better representation. I feel very fortunate to have Don as my BR Attorney. For my knowledge about BR Law (7 and 13) and my research on BR Attorney, there no one better than Don. Thank you Don, Earl.

Excellent Attorney

I just received my discharge last month. There are not enough good things that I can say about Mr. Hood. He is professional, efficient, and competent! Those are the three things that you NEED when dealing with such an overwhelming process (I was totally overwhelmed, not him lol). You can tell that Ba...nkruptcy is his specialty. The process was way quicker than I thought, he has payment options available, and he ALWAYS answers your call or gives a super quick response! To say that I'm a Happy client is an understatement.
