Wonderful, Respectful Man

Mr. Harrelson was referred to us and I must say I am very appreciative to the person who referred us. Lloyd was always so calm , cool and collected which made me feel at ease. He explained things to us in the terms we could understand and comprehend. My son was looking at more time then he was even o...n probation for , which I found extremely confusing on a technical probation violation. Technical meaning he missed some appointments, and did not complete his assigned classes. He has not picked up any charges at all since he was given 5 years probation. Once they violated him they wanted to give him 15 years in prison. Mr. Harrelson turned the DA around with nothing but facts. My son was given 30 days in jail with time served and back on the same 5 years probation. Mr. Harrelson was concerned about not just getting him out of jail but his future. Getting jobs, living life as a normal citizen and helping him turn his life around all together. My family cannot thank him enough, he will forever be our family attorney. Thank you Lloyd!

Amen... a REAL defense attorney

I can't express how thankful I am to Mr. Harrelson for helping my daughter. After speaking with a few attorneys it was obvious to me that everyone was telling me what they couldn't do.....but not Mr. Harrelson. He was the ONLY one who spoke about what he CAN do. And his actions spoke louder than h...is words. My daughter was looking at real time and we walked out of a Bond Reduction hearing with probation. He doesn't accept offers...he works for his clients. His rating speaks for itself!!!! Thank you Mr. Harrelson.

I feel ripped off!

About 4 weeks ago, I paid Mr. Harrelson in FULL to handle some traffic tickets. Since then, I have not heard from him or anyone in his office. I explained my sense of urgency but apparently that didn't matter. Last I checked, tickets didn't take this long to resolve. I've called, emailed and left nu...merous messages to no avail. How disappointing. A simple phone call goes a long way. I wouldn't recommend this attorney to anyone. Let's see if the Bar Association will help me get my money back.

Sad Shay failed to mention several items in her review. (1) that these tickets were more than 11 years old. (2) She had hired a previous attorney that got off of her case. (3) Sad Shay's card was initially declined and when we received a payment it was May 21st which was 3 weeks ago not 4 weeks. If you consider mail time, by the time the court notified my firm that the bonds would not be accepted some time had lapsed. I had to personally appear in court in order to get the bonds posted since they could not reach the previous attorney. Sad Shay sat on these tickets for more than 11 years but expected the warrants to be lifted overnight without disclosing all of the information. We only charged her $350 for 4 tickets with warrants which is far below market rate. Also, one of these tickets were in Waskom, Texas (last Texas city before reaching Shreveport & my office is in Dallas). Sad Shay did not spend a night a jail and with the exception of the Waskom ticket, 3 of the 4 citations will be dismissed.

Attorney at Law

I have nothing but great things to say. When you are a person such as myself scared of jail, he puts you at ease. I have not had to miss work for court dates and can call at anytime for any questions I may have. I would highly recommend him!!

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
