Joseph Ross Gallo

In our first consultation as i was in complete worry about my future Joseph told me, "give me all your stress and worry, continue to live your life like it didn't happen". I would like to enthusiastically recommend Joseph Gallo for anyone in need of a solid criminal defense attorney in Waxahachie/Ellis County. Last summer while driving through Waxahachie, I was arrested and charged with 2 misdemeanors (DWI with a blood alcohol of .28 , possession of marijuana) and ...1 felony (possession of marijuana). I am a physician, therefore the Texas Medical Board was notified of the charges, and they immediately suspended my medical license. I was in dire straits and freaking out about the potential jail time, loss of my medical license and career, and having a felony on my record. My sister is an attorney in California and she spent several days thoroughly researching and vetting attorneys to find the best representation possible. We chose Mr. Gallo based on his extensive experience in both prosecution and defense. During my multiple meetings with Mr. Gallo he was extremely knowledgeable, professional, and compassionate. He did a great job of presenting complex legal matters in a clear simple format that I could understand. My felony case went to the grand jury and had a high likelihood of going to trial. Mr. Gallo presented a convincing letter to the jury outlining my background, mistakes committed by the arresting officer, and case law surrounding the matter. The jury voted to "No Bill" the felony charge ! Mr. Gallo also negotiated a more than fair settlement for the 2 misdemeanors. The possession of marijuana charge was dismissed altogether. For the DWI, I did not have to serve any jail time and my driver's licence was never suspended. Along the way, I had a few other attorney friends suggest that I should go with a bigger name attorney from Austin, but I never entertained this proposition as I had full faith in Mr. Gallo. I strongly recommend 'going local' when it comes to criminal cases because the relationships your attorney has with the legal community and their reputation is much more important than a flashy resume. Mr. Gallo had excellent rapport with me, my family, and the healthcare attorneys involved in my case. He replied to everyone's emails within a few hours. In our most recent meeting, he stressed that he would be available to help with any ongoing issues with the case and any other legal matters that may arise in the future. I consider Joe Gallo a lifesaver, a friend, and my legal go to guy for life.

I'm not sure where to even start with how great Mr. Gallo is both as an attorney as well great person I would call a friend. I have never thought I would need a criminal defense attorney in a thousand years. Our relationship started when I charged with a 1st degree felony that I had no part in. O...bviously I was in a panic, I have never done anything wrong in my life other than a few traffic tickets. I remember my first meeting with Gallo, I was trying to keep it together but on the inside I was freaking out. By the end of that meeting Gallo had some how had me feeling positive and told me to go home, relax and let him handle it. During the entire year and a half process he always knew what to say to make me feel at ease. During the whole process Mr. Gallo always kept me in the loop and updated as soon as new information came to him. He is very thorough in the case, going over each and every detail as well as making sure you understand everything. So at the end of this year and a half my 1st degree felony was dismissed, it was all over and I felt relieved.
