Isaac David Shutt

I had worked with Mr Shutt in 2015 to update my will, POA, Medical POA, and Directive to Physicians. I found him to be knowledgeable, able to answer all my questions, professional, and kind. In January 2017, my brother had collapsed and was taken to the hospital. Unfortunately, the outlook is gri...m. To make things worse, my brother had no will. Adding to the complications was my aged mother's will and statements my parents had made about their will concerning my brother's two children. I called Mr. Shutt in a panic and he was able to meet with me the next morning! That day he answered my questions, talked to my niece (also an attorney), received a call from my brother in the hospital, draft a partial will per my brother's instructions, and email it to my niece and nephew with step-by-step instructions AND words to say (during the signing of the will) to my brother, the two witnesses, and the notary during the signing to ensure that this partial will would hold up in the probate of my parent's will and trust. Amazing! I told Mr. Shutt that he would definitely be hearing from me when it comes time to take my mother's will to probate! I wouldn't consider calling anyone else.

I can't say enough good things about Isaac Shutt and would highly recommend him for anyone needing wills or estate planning. I contacted him recently to assist my 82 year old mother with her affairs. She doesn't like meeting new people and was dreading the trip to his office, but he has an outgoing ...personality that quickly put her at ease. Once the work was concluded, she was so pleased that she even gave him a hug! As far as his services, Isaac was easily reached by phone every time we called. Appointments were scheduled quickly and were timely. Her will and legal documents were prepared within a short time and then ready when we arrived for signing. Afterwards, her documents were placed into a binder with tabs for organization and safe keeping. I thought his prices were very reasonable. I will most definitely use Isaac again in the future and will be passing his name along to all my friends!

Isaac made the process of probating a will an easy one. Isaac has a flat fee for certain kinds of work and let me know at a free consultation about how much the process would cost. He started the process in a timely manner, and literally in 2 weeks, the probate was complete. Isaac clearly outlined t...he steps involved and communicated with me by email to let me know the progress. I found Isaac to be both sensitive and professional as well as a clear communicator. I also like that his office is in Richardson. I have already recommended Isaac to some of those I work with.
