I had the worst experience with this attorney. She was polite till the time I handed my check to her after which suddenly her attitude towards me changed and she became rude and disrespectful towards me. She stopped answering my questions as well and asked me to leave. Her knowledge of immigration is... zero as she gave wrong advice to me which after checking with other attorney and online, I found completely incorrect. Her rates are the highest and knowledge is poorest.. wonder why would anyone go her.. maybe because she hosts these radio shows which makes people think that she has knowledge.. please do not consider this lawyer for any immigration issues.. you will repent

I'm writing this rating because I have read some of the other reviews on Sherin and cant believe this is the same lawyer who took care of my case!! She was extremely knowledgeable, kind and very well prepared at all times. She turned one of the hardest experiences of my life into a total win for me i...n court. When the judge finally ruled on my case, everything she expected to happen did and we even came out a bit ahead. I highly recommend her to anyone in need of an immigration lawyer!

My friend had an immigration related question and he and my husband went to Ms. Thawer to get some information. Firstly, she was condescending, she kept taking calls throughout the paid half hour appointment time (which was $150) and the information she gave made no sense at all. My husband and I con...tacted some other immigration lawyers and they confirmed what she said was incorrect. The worst part was that she actually was really rude towards the end once she realized that the paid time was over. I met an established immigration lawyer at a business dinner last week and realized that even her peers didn't have a good opinion about her. I think she should stick to basic stuff like taxes etc. I would never recommend her not just because of the money, but because I will never trust her advise.

I assumed that a Yale trained lawyer would be a good person to have representing me, but all I found was a self absorbed counselor that was only good at billing hours. She is quick to accept a case, even if she has no real experience in the area you need representation. Her hourly rate should be less... than half of what she charges based upon how effective her work product is. I ultimately had to change attorneys to find one that could quickly resolve the matter at less than 1/3 of the cost I had incurred with Ms. Thawyer. She needs to stay with closing real estate transactions and leave the actual practice of law to those who know what they're doing.
