About Jennifer
Biography
Ms. Ilarraza is a 2006 graduate of the University of Florida, where she received dual degrees, a Bachelor of Science in Journalism Reporting and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. In 2010, Ms. Ilarraza received her Juris Doctor from Emory University School of Law. During law school, Ms. Ilarraza served on the executive board of the Black Law Students Association, as the Editor-in-Chief of the Southern Region Black Law Students Association Law Journal and as a member of the Emory Public Interest Committee. Her commitment to serving the public interest led her to intern at the DeKalb County District Attorney’s Office, the Barton Juvenile Defender Clinic, and the Georgia Innocence Project. As a result, Emory Law honored her with the Pro Bono Award.
Ms. Ilarraza’s passion for litigation led her to serve as a team captain and coach of the Emory Mock Trial Society and to assist in the coordination of the Kessler-Edison Trial Techniques Program. Her trial abilities led Emory Law to recognize her as an “Emory Advocate.”
Before founding Ilarraza Law, P.C., Ms. Ilarraza was able to refine her litigation skills by defending clients against various causes of action, including premises liability, personal injury protection and general negligence for a Fortune 500 company in Florida, and work as a senior attorney for a medium-sized family law firm in Virginia. She has a passion for family law, and has devoted her career to successfully advocate for clients dealing with issues involving divorce, child custody and visitation, and child support.
