He made "the impossible" happen for me and my children.

I found myself in an awful situation in my marriage that left me not knowing where my children were for seven months. My husband at the time was dating a family law paralegal that coached him on how to get custody of my kids. I was turned down by two family law attorneys before I met with David Hou...sel. He was very honest with me about my situation and told me that I had an almost impossible case to win. He said he saw something in me and agreed to take my case. He was tough, and at times I thought he didn't care. He coached me on collecting information and told me how to get myself prepared for court. I took his advice and when I went to court I ended up getting my kids against all odds. This man was a bulldog in the court room and I could never show him how much I appreciate what he did for me. If you hire him and listen to him and do your part, you will not be disappointed. I have recommended many people to him too many people over the years and they have all been very pleased.

If there was a NO STAR option- I would give it to him

All David P. Housel was good at was giving a great presentation prior to us handing him a retainer fee and sending us bills every other week. He was useless in court, his paperwork was drafted by paralegals at $125 an hour and there were numerous mistakes made by them- It's like he NEVER REVIEWED TH...E DOCS BEFORE THEY WERE FILED WITH THE COURT!!! He is not very well liked by his peers so I found out and I really REGRET GIVING HIM ANY OF MY MONEY. I HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS GUY!

Strong attorney who will fight for his clients

Mr. Housel worked to do everything he could that was in the best interest of my child. He is extremely knowledgeable with regards to Family Law. He has steered me in the right directions with when dealing with custody and child support by advising when to give and when to hold firm. I initially... hired Mr. Housel 3 year ago when looking to have my custody agreement revised. This was the best decision I made with regards to fighting custody rights and support. I continue to work with him whenever adjustments are needed. I would recommend Mr. Housel to anyone looking for a strong attorney that will fight for them.

No Ethics Whatsoever

David Housel was awful for my divorce case. He made a lot of promises but all I received were bill after bill and poor results. He was more interested in filing this and that and going to court than solving the problem. My new attorney said he should have never have file some of what he did. He was m...ore interested in billing for his time than putting my emotional case to bed.

A lot of good promises, but nothing but bad results. Not at all what you would want in an attorney.

He has done such a horrible job for me that I would have been better off representing myself. Because he did such a lousy job in representing and keeping me informed about my case, I had to go online to research the various things that even a first year law student should know. He is rude and arrog...ant and does his best to make you feel inferior and that you are disturbing him any time you interact with him about the case. Kept me in the dark completely. I was thinking that he would be my advocate but nothing is further from the truth. My case ended up horribly awry.

Relationship: Opposing Counsel on matter

"Mr. Housel and I worked together to help a couple of parents resolve their differences and put a good parenting plan in place. David advocated strongly for his client, but never let his own ego cause the case to blow up. He knew what was worth arguing about and what wasn't, and that is what distinguishes good attorneys from the rest. I look forward to working with David on other cases in the future."
