Highly Recommend Troy Reimer

I would hire Troy Reimer and his law firm without a second’s hesitation, and I highly recommend hiring him for any family law matters that come up in your life. I have served in the Army as a Paralegal for almost 20 years now. During that time, I have met quite a few lawyers, both full-time Army a...nd reservists. I have learned a couple of things during that time. One, that just because someone has graduated law school and passed the bar does not necessarily mean they know what they’re doing. When hiring a lawyer, you have to balance competence, price, and personality. If they or their staff does not know what they are doing, they are too expensive, or you cannot work with their personality, then you can take a bad situation and make it much worse. When I had to hire a lawyer in Rockwall, I interviewed three different attorneys. Out of the three, I hired Troy Reimer because both he and his staff met the three largest criteria that I was looking for: competence, reasonable rates, and friendly personalities. During the interview, I found Mr. Reimer to be optimistic but honest. There were outcomes that I was expecting that were not reasonable and he explained why asking for them would hurt our case. He was also the only one of the three that would give me an estimate of the total cost for the case. My case had a few challenges. I was attempting to modify a divorce decree that was originally granted in Minnesota and subsequently moved to Maryland. It now had to be moved to Texas against the wishes of my ex-wife. Mr. Reimer handled that part of the case very efficiently. Going into the next phase, the case was hindered by negotiations of matters outside the case. Talking these matters over with Mr. Reimer, he gave me the advice of putting my court case on hold so it would not adversely impact the other negotiations. I have met very few lawyers who advise their client to put a hold on a case because it causes the lawyer a delay in earning his hourly fees. I was quite impressed that Mr. Reimer would put my well-being above his personal financial gain. Later, when my second wife and I split, we decided to hire one lawyer to handle the matter because we had come to an amicable agreement between the two of us on all the different matters. Since I had a legal background and I could have lawyers help me review the paperwork, it was agreed that my wife would hire the lawyer to protect her interests. I contacted Mr. Reimer, and he informed me that since my case was closed and this was a totally unrelated matter, it would not break any ethics laws for my ex-wife to hire him. Although it was legal, his advice was for her to hire someone else, so there would not even be the appearance of impropriety. Again, this placed ethical appearances above his financial gain.

Review of Troy Reimer

Often times divorce is a hard concept to embrace. Working through the details can me overwhelming and emotional. I believe in family. I believe in marriage. As I sat across from Troy Reimer I remember asking myself "How in the world did I get here?" One by one Troy answered my questions, pointed me i...n the right direction, and helped me problem solve through the logistics of the process with confidence and ease. As the court day approached, I worked with Angela quite a bit. I found her to be professional, helpful, and practical. My divorce was complete in two months. On my court date, I found Troy and his legal staff to be efficient and knowledgeable. I felt they represented my best interest and created language in parts of the divorce decree that were unique to my situation. Even after the divorce was finalized I have contacted them for clarification and advice. They were professional and helpful. I would recommend Troy Reimer to my friends and family without hesitation.

Troy Reimer

My husband and I hired Troy in a family law situation against my exhusband. Troy was professional throughout the entire 6 month process. His paralegal, Angela, was also very helpful as I was in contact with her often. Troy and Angela helped us understand the process we had to go through and made sure... we were involved in every step of the process. We ended up getting more than we thought we would and were very pleased with the results. If I didn't understand the paperwork, Troy was more than willing to sit down with me and walk me through it in order for me to feel comfortable and at ease. Family law cases can be very stressful especially when you can potentially be losing time with your child but Troy Reimer made us feel comfortable throughout. I would hire Troy again in a heartbeat.

Troy Reimer - Caring and supportive, legal Bad Ass

In 2005, I was faced with the most difficult time in my life. Up until that fateful day in late May, my ex-wife and I had a great working relationship with regard to the custody of my daughter. After school, she took my daughter and fled the city to her new home in Austin, Tx. I was heart-broken and ...grief-stricken but knew I had to fight back. I mentioned the situation to a co-worker and he suggested I call Troy Reimer. He had another friend that had used Troy’s services and was very pleased with the results. I contacted Troy and the fight began soon thereafter. I met him for my initial consultation and laid out my situation. He immediately began to go to work for me and to help me bring my daughter back home. During that time I was a basket case and so filled with worry that work became very difficult. Troy was a constant source of strength and positive energy. He seemed more like a caring friend than a lawyer I barely knew. He realized how difficult this was for me and that I might need a little more emotional attention. I never forgot how he REALLY cared about what I was feeling and spent considerable time helping me through this horrible time in my life. He never promised me that he could work miracles, only that he would bend over backwards trying to help me in every way possible. The custody fight soon evolved into a back child support issue as well (despite previous agreements to the contrary). The way Troy handled the other lawyer was a sight to behold. He completely protected my interests and helped the court see the real picture of what was happening. He properly prepared me for the difficult cross-examinations to come and I was able to summon confidence I never knew I possessed. Without Troy’s amazing legal expertise, I am certain the results would have been catastrophic to my case and my daughter’s future. This tale had a very happy ending for my daughter and I as we prevailed and she is now an amazing, mature college student destined for a wonderful life. In addition to being an amazing lawyer, he is also a wonderful man, great father and strong Christian. I have since recommended his services to anyone needing an attorney. Not all cases are winnable and some are more complex than others, but with Troy in your corner you have a wonderful chance to succeed, or at the very least, mitigate the damages in your particular situation. I would ABSOLUTELY recommend Troy Reimer for your Family Law needs and should I ever find myself in a tough predicament, you can be sure Troy’s number will be the FIRST one I dial to help me.

A High Integrity Divorce Lawyer

I hired Troy in 2010 to represent my family in what had all the makings of a terrible divorce. A 25 year relationship abruptly ending and two amazing young kids 10 & 12 whom needed the system to see through the lies and frankly protect them from the very system that is supposed to protect them. I w...as in search for a high integrity lawyer whom was going to not just properly represent my family but also keep me from the falling into the ugliness of the divorce process and if at all possible walk through the process in the most high integrity way. Troy did just that. From the beginning Troy and Angela not only demonstrated a high degree of professionalism and competence but also compassion, support and interest in doing the right thing for this very broken family. A man in the family court system is disadvantaged from the beginning but with Troy and Angela I was encouraged, supported and led to make non emotional decisions and steer clear of the tricks and games that most family lawyers play at the cost of the children. Troy kept me focused on what was most important for my children and my future and steered me away from allowing my hurt to influence my decision making. My divorce took over a year and had many twists and turn as my ex and her lawyer attempted to manipulate us through pain in order to benefit financially. No matter way evil was thrown at us he kept my children safe and frankly kept me focused and strong. After a long road and many antics by apposing council, with Troy's no nonsense approach this dad was able to prevail and keep his children with me and safe. In a system that seems to reward those whom play the game above those whom just tell the truth it was obvious to me that in this system Troy's integrity was respected and appreciated. The odds were against me yet I was NOT going to play games and only the truth was going to be told and it was Troy's reputation and approach that ensured that the truth and only the truth was not only heard but also appreciated and believed therefore providing for not only a favorable judgment for my family but also a deep sense of peace and honor. Troy and Angela will always be appreciated for their professional and personal investment and especially for never ever compromising on integrity.
