I have been selected for many years by my own peers as both a SuperLawyer and as one of the Top 100 Lawyers in all of Dallas/Fort Worth in all practices. These are the lawyers I face in court all the time. Lawyers love to say they are "litigators," despite rarely trying cases, or even appearing in court. I have spent many years trying lawsuits in courts all over the state of Texas, at all levels. I have argued before the courts of appeals all over the state as well, including landmark cases presented to the Supreme Court of Texas. I know what it's like to be in the courtroom, and how to manage your case for the judge or jury, and will use that experience to get you the best result.

Strongly NOT recommend
I was referred to George by his partner, Nick. I was totally unsatisfied with his service and fees. - He charges $325/hr, an outrageous fee for little service he does! - He and his assistant, Wendy, were totally non-responsive. - When he talked to me, the only thing he told me was to tell me to ...
The client, "Sue," has not told the truth at all. It is sad that such a good client has resorted to this emotional retaliation after I got her such a good result in court. This client hired me on an emergency basis, and asked me to handle a case set for a major hearing in less than two days, and which had been filed against her by her ex-husband seeking FULL custody of her only son, seeking to force the child to change schools, and seeking to strip the mother of her rights to make decisions about education. Other lawyers fired her as a client because she is difficult to deal with. The issues were complex, and she was told that it would require a large retainer because I had to set aside OTHER clients' cases and prepare solely for her court battle in less than a day and a half. I told her that my rate is very expensive, and she agreed, as she had waited until the last minute to hire me. Her prior lawyer did not get along with her and quit. I did not. Not only did we communicate, we did nothing but talk and work on her case the entire day before the hearing, which was the only day we had. She sent dozens of pages of documents to review, papers from the prior lawyer, case history, and we met for several hours to prepare, all the day before. We went to the courthouse for 4 hours the following day and the client KEPT custody, KEPT the child in the same school, KEPT all decision-making rights, and got everything she asked for. During the hearing, she completely broke down in the court hallway, crying and screaming in a rage because of what her ex claimed. I worked very hard to calm her down and did indeed say several times "I need you to listen to me and stop talking! I'm on YOUR side!" When it was over, she cried and hugged me and THANKED me for taking her case and "taking care of me and my son." She apologized for her outbursts and said "I'm really not a 'tiger-mom.'" A few days later she came to my office to bring me a GIFT from her and her son as a thank you. The case was not yet over, but after winning, she decided she wanted to counter-sue and take away some of the father's rights. Immediately after that, she lost a lease and was going to be forced to take her son to a different school, all unrelated to the case. However, it complicated her position, and while I was still dealing with the other issues in her case, she wanted to "ramp up" the fight against her ex. She demanded a second temporary hearing and asked for a restraining order against him. Since she and I had such success in court, she wanted to punish her ex-husband and expand the fight. I told her that her funds were depleted as I had already spent over 15 hours on her emergency case, and she got angry. She stated "I thought we could do it all for the initial retainer," despite having been told several times that was not the case. I explained a huge war with the other side will be expensive. She angrily said that was "fine" and that she would sign an order allowing my withdrawal. When we tried to reach her to get her signature, she refused all of our calls, which required me to go back to court at my own time and expense. She waited until THE DAY OF the withdrawal hearing to then attack me on this site in retaliation, and despite having profusely thanked me for all that I did for her and her son. Her review was written solely out of spite and anger. I spent more than 15 hours between July 9, 2014 and October 6, 2014, and got her everything she asked for--we won it all! 2020 Update: Sue reached out to me in late 2020 and requested for me to connect with her on two different professional social media sites. I politely declined.

Beware of sales pitch
I had a $300 consultation with this attorney in which he made a sales pitch of how good prospects were in my case. He showed clarity and empathy in his answers. But as soon as he got my retainer money, his tone changed to disrespect. He said he "didn't have enough time to review my decree during the ...
This person never hired me to pursue her case!! Sadly, when a client doesn't get the answers they want, the often resort to criticism of the messenger. On one hand she says I showed "clarity and empathy," and then she says it was a "hurried sales pitch." It can't be both. Most notably, she never actually hired me to file anything or move her case forward--she only wanted me available to ask me questions. An initial consultation does not involve a lengthy review of the entire history and pleadings in a case--it's a consultation. That is why people hire us; the consultation is for the purpose of an overview, and giving the client an opportunity to decide if the lawyer is a good fit. However, once the lawyer spends some hours in review of a matter, things are learned which shape their opinions. Sheetal got very upset when her ex-husband was able to sell a property without her agreement--even though he was the sole owner of the property, and he had been ordered to sell or refinance it in their divorce decree, and now she somehow blames me, though we had absolutely no way whatsoever to stop him from selling HIS OWN property, nor did she ever authorize me to take any action to even try. She never authorized me to move forward, though we discussed it many times over the course of a few months when I repeatedly asked if she was ready to proceed. Her statement is correct that she continually asked questions, and we answered them all--she just could not commit to going forward; so I waited. We had weeks and months of emails and communications and I repeatedly asked her if she was ready to file her case. She never answered; she just wanted more answers to mostly the same questions, and wanted more consultation. She repeatedly asked if she could file illegal liens and take action that is not allowed under the law. I told her we cannot do that. So I was never able to go forward in her case, and she ultimately received a refund of the retainer money we didn’t use. She was given a great deal of legal advice in this case, including her many questions answered; I reviewed all of her case history; I dealt with her husband's lawyer; I reviewed documents he prepared and advised her about her ex's attempt to sell the house. She asked me numerous times the same questions. I advised her each time and answered all of her questions. She simply didn't like the answers, and would never give me instructions to go forward. I told her “I am sorry you are upset, but we have been here the whole time to answer your questions and file for modification whenever you were ready; we also stood ready to defend his motion for clarification/modification as soon as you were served, though you never were.” (he filed a case asking the court for clarification, but he never actually served her to begin the case) I wish her the best of luck, and I hope she can find some way to go forward.
"Fearless. George is absolutely fearless. He's tried to verdict more cases than most attorneys do their entire careers, and has served his clients well with excellent results."
"George and I met on opposing sides of a case several years ago. I was impressed with his ability to zealously advocate for his client while demonstrating the utmost level of professionalism. He is a smart lawyer and a great guy, and I am happy to have the chance to endorse him."
"George is a honest, smart, and reasonable attorney. We recently worked as opposing counsel on an emotionally-charged family matter, and he represented his client's interests effectively while maintaining civility through the process. Looking forward to working with him again."
"George is an excellent attorney and litigator. He is highly skilled and strategic, and zealously represents his clients. All at the same time while remaining a true gentleman. I highly recommend George."

He is always better prepared than opposing counsel and you will be confident your case is in good hands as you fight your way through the legal system. You will be 100% satisfied when you trust George to handle your case."
"I initially met George while representing an opposing party in a large litigation case. George is a skilled attorney who did an excellent job in representing his client's interest in getting the matter resolved. I have known George to be an ethical lawyer who works hard to do right by his clients in an efficient manner. I endorse him without hesitation."
"I strongly endorse George Crumley as a civil lawyer handling more than just family law cases. I have recommended George to my own clientele seeking business-related legal issues, malpractice, as well as divorce and child custody matters. George is hard-working, professional, reasonable on his fees, and is known to take the time needed to spend with his clients. I have received this feed back from individuals I have sent his way."
"Attorneys often look to their colleagues for advice on how to approach legal matters and it speaks highly of the fellow attorney they seek out. Having known George for years and of his strong character and high level of litigation skill, I recently discussed a business law matter with George, and, as expected, I received excellent advice. I would recommend George to any person or business seeking representation in business law, family law or personal injury matters."
"I strongly endorse George. He is a very accomplished and experienced trial lawyer. His skill and tenacity in the courtroom are unmatched. George has the rare ability to not only discredit opposing parties' expert witnesses on cross-examination, but also to embarass them! I would not want to try a case against him, so I'm glad he's on my team!"
"I endorse this lawyer. I had the pleasure of working with George on a hotly disputed auto collision case. He did an outstanding job representing his client and helped us obtain a great recovery from the culpable party. Very honest and professional."
"I highly endorse this lawyer. I have known this lawyer for over 20 years. He is highly ethical and of the utmost competence. The clients that I have referred him are very happy with his representation."
"I have worked with Mr. Crumley on past cases and have always held very high regard for his ability to think outside the box in developing creative custom solutions to achieve client goals. He has always been very easy to work with and is never an impeding roadblock to settling cases outside of the courtroom. He is very knowledgeable and therefore a pleasure to have a case against."
