R. Joseph Powell

I'm an experienced Family Law Attorney with my primary practice being in Dallas and contiguous counties. I graduated from Baylor Law School in 1990, and I was on the law review. I have handled thousands of cases in custody, divorce, modification, enforcement, protection, property, and other concerns. I've handled many CPS cases and do not shy away from difficult cases. My wife is Filipina and I'm responsive to persons from other countries, creeds, and religions. I try not to discriminate unfairly against anyone, but I do judge character and have high expectations for my clients. I expect clients to listen carefully to my advice and try their best to cooperate with my firm. I can help you with bad facts if you are willing to help yourself also. My hourly rates run 180-540 per hour. I reserve the right to decrease my hourly rate for some clients based primarily on need, and I also reserve the right to charge more in extremely difficult cases. All unearned retainers are refunded at the end of the case with the exception of minimum fees covered in our contract.
