I was a defendant in a debt case where I was named with an LLC and the plaintiff was a debt collection agency. They used an interesting tactic of questioning if I was the person who actually owned the LLC company which had the debt. There was no legal basis that I owned this LLC, not through tax records or the LLC state registry. Nor could the plaintiff provide documents proving I owed any debt.
