David Colby Addison

D. Colby Addison is an Oklahoma trial lawyer representing people hurt by negligence and abuse of power: victims of car and semi-truck wrecks, catastrophic injuries, and wrongful death, and families whose loved ones died or were harmed in Oklahoma jails. His firm has recovered millions for injured Oklahomans and civil rights plaintiffs, including a $2 million federal jury verdict for the family of a man who died in county jail custody. Colby also serves as a Tribal Supreme Court Justice and represents tribal governments and enterprises as outside general counsel — a judicial perspective few trial lawyers bring to the courtroom. He practices in all three of Oklahoma's federal districts and the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals, and he continues to represent Oklahoma employees in wrongful termination and discrimination cases.

He earned his B.S. and J.D. from the University of Oklahoma, where he served on the Oklahoma Law Review, and has been recognized by Super Lawyers as a Rising Star every year since 2019. He is a member of the National Employment Lawyers Association and the Oklahoma Employment Lawyers Association. 

Outside the law, Colby has volunteered with Big Brothers Big Sisters since 2008, served as an American Red Cross project manager during the May 2013 tornadoes, and has spent hundreds of hours teaching disaster preparedness with first responders and public schools.
