Mr. Marquette was the best. He knows the law, inside and out, and if there was something he didn't know, (which was rare) he did the necessary research and got back to me in a timely manner. He took the time to talk to me and explain everything, and was very professional. I have recommended him to se...

Bob saved my life. In one day, I went from a normal citizen to facing 40 years of felony charges. No other attorney would even consider the possibility that I was innocent (and I was), let alone the possibility that I could beat the case. But Bob did. And he beat the case within 60 days. The judge an...

I would recommend Bob Marquette to anyone needing a criminal defense lawyer. Over the course of 2008 to 2016, he has been professional, knowledgeable and thorough. Any questions I had about anything were fully explained, not only until the case was resolved, but even later on, years down the road, an...

Robert Marquette is an excellent attorney. He goes above and beyond to serve his clients. He represented me in a difficult divorce, and was very professional and organized. He is available to his clients day and night through various methods of communication. I recommend his services, if you are look...

Robert Marquette represented me in a criminal case. I had one (1) meeting with him in his office, and two (2) outside on the courthouse lawn, in nearly two years; of which, I initiated and insisted on myself. During those meetings we never discussed my case; rather, the case of another client he was ...
Since I retired from the public defender's office 10 years ago and returned to private practice this case has to be around 15 years old since that it when our office represented the young woman this person refers to in her comments. Neither I nor anyone else visited her in prison. Since all our clients were indigent our office kept clothing for men and women who needed to appear in trial to be properly dressed and after they wore them, they were returned to our office to be laundered and dry cleaned and returned to storage. I guess that is what she is referring to in her comment. As far as being across from the drug task force and prosecutor's office 15 years ago, our office was located in the courthouse and their's was across the street in the courthouse annex. The claims that our office represented her for two years is fabricated as the speedy trial statutes provide cases must reach conclusion in one year or be dismissed. I do not ever remember calling any defendant a profane name in all my years practicing law. This was obviously a case in which she plead guilty voluntarily and did not go to trial. In the public defender's office we had email addresses and more than one secretary. I would never have jeopardized one client for another. If there were ever the hint of a conflict I would have filed a conflict motion. While I served in the public defender's office I received literally hundreds of letters and cards thanking me for my representation and caring. I spent twenty years of my life battling for the underdogs and carrying about the rights of indigents charged with crimes. I retired to go back in to private practice because after almost 35 years of practicing law I wanted to be able to handle cases in private practice again. Anyone who knows anything about public defender offices knows that there are the occasional malcontents who don't appreciate your representation and help. This is one of them. On other internet boards which rate attorneys and post client reviews I have all favorable reviews and ratings. This one seems to be a magnet for the few with imagines slights. In 40 years of practicing law I have never had one single ethical complaint to the State Bar Association. I have never even been informed of one single complaint by a client to the Bar. Not one. I constantly see many of my former clients back again in my office because they believe in me and the job I do. Frankly I almost didn't even respond to this post but there are so many inaccuracies and untruths that I simply had to respond. As a postscript I received a letter 5 years ago from the young woman whom I fought for as her attorney and was mentioned in the above post. She went to school, finished college, married and although HIV positive she was able to have a child who is free from the virus. She thanked me for all the concern and fighting for her when no one else cared. This young woman is just one person of many who I feel fortunate to have had an impact on her life. I'm sorry a 15 year old grudge by the writer of the post still exists.
