Rude

I called to have a consultation with Tori and throughout the process of the call, she seemed as if she wasn't even listening. I was trying to explain to her my situation on my recent divorce and didn't even take into context what I was saying. She was just trying to push her opinions on me and was ...extremely offensive when I didn't agree with her statements. She reminds me of a child who gets upset when they don't get their way. Extremely unprofessional.

I've not had a phone interview/consultation with someone named Samantha recently - going back all year, I checked the calendar! I'm genuinely sorry you felt I was rude - certainly was never my intention. I am not the right attorney for everyone, and neither is Lion Legal. Emotional support is definitely not my strong suit! I'm a lawyer not a therapist - no sarcasm when I say that. Clients should not want a therapist-like lawyer. Therapists make terrible lawyers and lawyers generally make terrible therapists. My job as lawyers is to remove emotion from the analysis and provide clear, reliable opinions on how the LAW applies to a particular set of facts. In other words, what a judge is likely to order if we took the matter to a trial. We will never allow a client to hire us if we cannot realistically achieve the client's goals because those goals are unsupported by the law. It is often disappointing to callers if the law does not allow for what they want to happen in their case, which sounds like was the case here. I welcome the opportunity to discuss with you - please email me with your real name so I can review the notes and details and we schedule another complimentary call so I can atone for my perceived phone manner. Awful

Don’t ever use these people. They will lie straight to your face and promise you they’ll do all this stuff then not do anything. Literally doing it yourself would be better than hiring Tori. She didn’t even spell my ex’s name correctly when she emailed her lawyer. How embarrassing. Tori is an embarra...ssment to law and I’m shocked she even has a degree. If you need any proof I would be glad to show you. She’s extremely degrading and will make fun of you. Don’t use her. Doing it yourself would definitely yield better results.

For you readers out there, we won this case and he was thrilled at the end of the matter which was about 5-6 weeks ago. He did not pay the balance of his last bill to our office. This week he emails multiple times, demanding we do more work, incur more time, and incur out of pocket costs when he owes us money. Despite his comment that he doesn't have to work because his parents are "his own personal piggy bank," I do not work for free. Upon receipt of the email where I directly told him we are not doing any more work or incurring out of pocket costs without his balance being paid and a retainer deposited to cover the future work, he loses his mind the way only an arrogant middle aged man can: accusing me - weeks later - of not doing a fantastic job, because he's mad that I didn't do what he told me to do. It's amazing to me how folks want "aggressive" attorneys to "stand up" for them, "fight" for them, and not "back down".... but, then get all in a tizzy when those same personality traits appear in the attorney-client relationship, 99% of the time in the context of the attorney refusing to work for free, as is the case here.

Just another waste of breath

In her own words, the legal system let me down. Not only did it let me down, but the ripped fabric between the last words I said during my intake call and where we went were vast and deep. (If I were Victoria, I would have checked for a recording of the call to verify my statements when I brought th...is to her attention, but then again, I’m not an attorney.) I was left with less cash than i started, nothing accomplished and a stop sign at every turn when a family member was literally transferring real property without even so much as a “this is what we are going to do”. Frustrating. Irritating. More professional than the last attorney, but somehow I don’t think these folks need to subsidize their income with a separate line of work….or something.

Reddy Now, (that’s his username) Your dispute is over the disposition of family-owned property, as you mentioned in the review. We understand that a previous attorney did not perform for you, and your complaint to the professional conduct committee did not provide the results you felt you deserved. Those events, especially with family and money involved, leave you in a hurtful place. You came to us with a small budget, having spent most of what you could afford on the previous attorney, and asked us to help resolve the case. You tasked us to reasonably and logically determine your best options to preserve as much as possible of what's left of family assets, and put the matter to bed once and for all. We can do that for you and do it very well, even on a small budget, if we’re allowed to focus on unemotional analysis and decision-making. What we can’t do is repair the emotional harm you’ve experienced, and we can’t force state agencies to take action, even when we agree with you that something should be done. Your feelings about the situation are valid, but to resolve the legal problems we need you to put those feelings on hold, communicate with us about matters that deal with facts and the law, and follow our legal advice.

One of the worst law firms ever

She doesn’t care about what’s best for your child. She Has absolutely no integrity an will lie to you an say whatever she needs to just get your money. Once they have your money she will threaten you every chance to quit if you don’t do what she says instead of explaining options. They never once al...lowed me to see the communication between opposing counsel as if they had something to hide. Filed a motion without my approval making accusations that was one of many reasons causing me to lose the case. Because of her mistakes I lost my case an then after losing my case filed a false collection of 200$ With out even saying I even had a balance. I had paid over 20k for a custody case. I have asked for my file an they have refused to give it to me saying it’s in storage. There is so much more I could say but if this is not enough to warn you then I wish you good luck. I wouldn’t recommend anyone to use her or Rebecca or anyone in her law firm. You will be highly disappointed. I have every intentions of filing a complaint to the board an hopefully I can stop her from doing this to anyone else.

1. This is anonymous because none of it is true. You post it on my AVVO account because I'm the one who had to deal with you constantly about paying your bill as agreed. 2. You spent 20k, but only 5k was with our firm. The other 15k was with previous attorneys who fired you as a client for not following legal advice. 3. All motions are approved by clients - either by signature or by email confirmation. You insisted we file it and you regretted it as we advised you would. 4. We allowed you to set up a payment plan on the balance after your final hearing and you refused to pay it after we sent it to you numerous times and you ignored us. 5. Your bill was estimated to be $3000. It was $5000 because you would send 10+ emails a day. 6. Your case has been closed for over 2 years; you're posting this now because we sent your bill to collections. Any reasonable person would admit that we got you the best possible result. You were very happy and surprised with the result Rebecca achieved at trial. You just don't want to pay your attorney's fees.

She’s the best!

I called very concerned, afraid and very confused. In a matter of seconds she determined the fact that I need not worry. This was invaluable to me. Bless her heart. I could kiss her! Absolutely a badass attorney!!

"Tori is one of the most knowledgable lawyers I know in the area of protecting clients from unlawful debt collection, which is not an area of practice that I handle very often. When I have a question in this area, I always call her, because she can always answer my questions or point me in the right direction. She runs a busy practice in North Little Rock, but she always makes herself available to those in need, and especially clients. If you're in need of help, especially in Pulaski County courts, let Tori roar to your rescue."
