SUPERB service and communication.

I just found this forum or I would have written a review long ago. Marcy was co-counsel on a civil matter with Jim Norris on my behalf in 2012. Jim, Marcy and Jenna were all very helpful and always represented my best interest. I was sad to see Marcy leave Jim's office but very proud that she has ...continued to help others in the same fashion she helped me. She treats everyone with compassion and listens to their concerns. Marcy understands every case is unique, you won't get the regular run of the mill representation here, you get the bull dog ready to bite in court. She is upfront, honest and hard working for her clients. I was truly impressed with her representation and you will be to.

Gosh, I wish I could take credit for the great encounter you had with this attorney who worked with Jim Norris, but that was not me! I am so glad, though, that you had a good experience. : )

Restraining Order

I hired her without meeting her. She set a court date when I couldn't be there and explained (my bad). On May 18th she appeared in court without me and negotiated with the pettitioner out side of court room and settled for civil restraining order instead of temporary restraint order against me. I did... not have a chance to defend my self and present all of my evidence against petitioner. Then Marcy Lou Allen said for me not to contact her any more and would return my $750.00 dollars. I haven't received it may24th 2017 yet. This was the worst representation I have ever had with an attorney. Not only give them a bad court date but to negotiate with the petitioner without me is unacceptable! As I said I was able to defend myself with evidence against petitioner on may 25th in court. I live 335 miles away and my brother has brain cancer and I explained this to Marcy after she gave wrong date.

Dear Mr. Bonck, I am truly sorry that you feel as if I did not perform well as your advocate. That said, I cannot say that I am at all surprised that you have left this type of review. I only asked you to discontinue contact after you had repeatedly harassed me by email. I wrote you two letters last Thursday (following the hearing where I negotiated a civil stay away order be put in place rather than a restraining order). One contained personal belongings and an additional copy of the order, and the other contained every penny you paid me, despite the fact that the result obtained was in my professional and experienced opinion a good one and despite the fact that I had spent quite a bit of time working on this matter. I did this because it was more than obvious that you were dissatisfied. (And, I assure you that these letters were mailed as soon as the postman came by our office next.) This is really not the type of forum where I can do anything more to address your complaints. If you are able to communicate with me without being verbally assaultive, I will be happy to speak with you.

shinning light at the end of the tunnel

Marcy Allen gave my wife and I the urgent help we needed while we where in Monroe, LA working. She was very knowledgeable and aware of the Monroe City Courts in and outs of processes and personnel. She readily understood our case and made us feel that our problem was her problem to solve. We would us...e Marcy's service again if the need ever arose. Being from out of state and working on the road, the last thing you need on your plate is a court case in Louisiana!

Provided excellent Representation

Marcy Allen provided excellent representation in our case. I was impressed with her responsiveness and availability to address all of our request or questions as they transpired. The outcome in our case meet all expectations. I would certainly be confident to hire her in the future.

Excellent lawyer

Mrs. Allen maybe a court appointed lawyer but she handles my case like a very good paid attorney! She actually cares and answered my calls! She didn't look down at me, she sees the good I'm doing, and she always treats me with respect. She takes time for me and shes truly trying to get the best for m...e. I have had several court appointed lawyers but none have ever worked for me like she has! I will definitely recommend her to everybody! :-)

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
