I was very disappointed with my experience working with John Bokenfohr. Communication was consistently poor—I often received little or no response to my questions, and important discussions were frequently delayed until the last minute before court. On more than one occasion, he arrived late and atte...mpted to discuss case strategy during the proceedings rather than beforehand. I also felt he was overly passive in advocating for my interests in court. Most concerning, he withdrew from my case before it was resolved, and I do not believe the work performed justified the retainer I paid. If this level of communication and representation reflects the standard at this firm, I would not recommend its services. This review reflects my personal experience as a client.( referring to a child custody battle he showed no empathy or effort ) there has been zero progress and we’re still seeking counsel this experience was a waste of time and money , I wish I could rate John bokenfohr a 0 star he hasn’t gotten us access to any of the court ordered docs he doesn’t return any calls when promised and in return to my communication he sends a exporte order to withdraw from said case , my goal here is to be fully transparent with this process I hope I painted the appropriate picture to save the next person from this God awful experience in the future

John is a veteran and seems knowledgeable in family law. He has a nice office and is very confident in what he says. When John focuses on your case he will make you feel secure. Problems I have seen are that Johns office has to many cases and your personal case gets neglected. It's usually takes a da...y or two to hear something back after calling and leaving a message. Also forms his office has produced in my case always had a problem one way or another that required back tracking to fix. His office also seems to take their time and hurries up last minute to make sure everything is in order. Otherwise your case sits and waits for you to call and ask about it. I felt like I had to stay on my case for it to be worked which was a huge annoyance since you pay a large sum of money. If you do choose to work with his office I would pay partial payments to make sure it is being done as it should be and your case gets the attention it deserves from a paying client.
