I founded DeT Law Firm, LLC, in New Orleans, to assist good, local individuals and businesses struggling with tough times.  Through my years of practice, I have taken great pride in helping individuals facing odds that have been stacked against them.  Whether its going after large corporations or insurance companies, I have never been afraid to step into the ring and fight for what our clients deserve.  

Over the years, we have assisted clients in a variety of ways, including, but not limited to: 

  • Chapter 7/Chapter 13 bankruptcies;
  • personal injury, automobile accidents, and "bad-faith" insurance coverage denials; 
  • managing/consulting regarding financial reorganizations of businesses;
  • debt collections defense, including representation in civil litigation and settlement negotiations; and
  • seeking damages under the Telephone Consumer Protection and the Fair Debt Collections Practices Acts. 

During my free time, I enjoy volunteering with local charities, such as Son of a Saint, Team Gleason, and Hogs for the Cause; anxiously cheering for my hometown teams (the Saints, LSU, and Pelicans); and experiencing everything that life in New Orleans has to offer.

Brilliant Attorney!
I received a letter in the mail from Grand Law Firm regarding the foreclosure on my home. Needless to say I was very anxious and upset and I called them to make an appt. There was an angel on the other end of the phone named Dina. She quickly alleviated my fears and assured me that I had come to the right place. Boy, was She right. We then met with this young,brilliant attorney Jonathan Detrinis who assured us that they could help us. They were able to stop the foreclosure on Our house, but we also had other issues we also needed help with. We needed to do a succession on my Mother for her house. we met with another Charming Attorney Siobhan Leger who handled this for us. The whole staff at this Law firm are so professional, kind, warm and caring people. From Lauren and Amy who answer the phones to all of the above mentioned are impeccable human beings. I know I have never come across any attorney like these before. I now know who my attorneys are and will be to the day I leave this great place we call earth. Love You Dina, Jon, Siobhan, Lauren and Amy.

Jon Detrinis made a difference in our lives
First let me start by saying that before 2012 we had luckily never needed the services of a bankruptcy or car insurance attorney. We were nervous about hiring anyone because of the way that lawyers are often portrayed in the public eye. Well, the Grand Law Firm is the exception to ANY rule! We first began working with them on our bankruptcy case. Since we really didn't know any lawyers, we found them by looking at websites online. Their site seemed the most family friendly, so we gave them a call. That was the beginning of an unexpected 3 year relationship with some of most caring, professional, knowledgeable and honest people we have ever met. From Lauren, a paralegal, to every lawyer in the firm, they kept us informed and up to date on everything, so that we felt comfortable. The best part was that they never made us feel bad for not understanding things. Although I'm an educator, the language of the legal system can be very daunting,. and between Ben Carpenter, Jon De Trinis, and Trent Grand they made us feel like no question was a bad one. Jon DeTrinis in particular always took the time with us to make sure we were prepared to handle whatever situations came up in our cases. We can't say enough about the positive experiences that we have had with this law firm. They never made any false claims, kept us informed and most importantly treated us with respect.
