About Joseph
Biography
Joe is a trial lawyer. He brings his litigation skills to a variety of matters. Joe handles major felony cases, including numerous homicides, drug cases and sex offenses, as well as DUI, property and traffic crimes. Joe has taught continuing legal education on the art and science of voir dire (jury selection) for the Kansas Trial Lawyers Association, the Kansas Bar Association and other attorney groups. Joe graduated from Benedictine College and Washburn Law in 5 1/2 years at just 23 years of age. He is a partner in the Law Firm of Tenopir & Huerter. Joe served 2 terms on the Topeka City Council. He has been a member of the Board of Governors of the Kansas Trial Lawyers Association for many years and has held several offices in that orgainzation. Joe is recently completed serving his 2nd term as Chair of the Legacy of Justice Foundation. Joe is also licensed in the Kickapoo and the Prairie Band Pottawatomie tribal courts. Since 2011, Joe has been recognized with an AV Preeminent Rating from Martindale-Hubbell indicating that his peers have ranked him at the highest level of professional excellence for both ethical standards and legal ability.
