I was falsely accused of something I did not do. I trusted him to fight for me and show my evidence in order to win not lose! I think he made maybe three statements in my bench trial and did not cross exam the witness! I asked him to show my evidence and he told me witness hanging themselves on stand... so no need! Really are you kidding me? So I lost because of him. I should of defended myself because I’d done a better job! He told me to take the SIS and once over it would be like it never happened! Lie!!!!! It ruined my livelihood for several years. still affects me job wise today! Don’t hire him if you want justice!

I was (allegedly) caught with roughly two cigarettes worth of a substance that is currently legal for medicinal use in 34 states and recreational use in 10 states. In the state of MO, the substance is decriminalized; however, if you’re found possessing as much as a crumb of it on a float trip throug...h Lebanon (I.e. NRO), I suggest you buckle up. Not being from the area, I ran a quick google search for the closest lawyer geographically to the courthouse. I will spare this fine gentleman’s name as this is a positive review for Mr. Hammond and not a platform to slam my first attorney, but long story short- 6 court appearances and no progress. I was still to be charged with possession, heavily fined, court costs x6, perform a significant amount of community service, go through a probation period, pass periodic urinalysis screenings in Dallas Co, and go to a SATOP class in Dallas Co- while the charge would still remain on my record indefinitely. I wish I were exaggerating. I approached Mr. Hammond after watching him successfully defend one of his clients in one of my various appearances. He agreed to take my case after a brief discussion, I relieved my prior attorney and we moved forward. Mr. Hammond was able to quickly resolve my case. I walked away with minimal stipulations, zero fines, zero court costs and a clean record- case dismissed. He was very reasonably priced, highly professional, available and promptly responsive if not through the entire process. I sincerely appreciate the work Mr. Hammond did on my case and can say with confidence and experience (after watching lord knows how many other cases and lawyers over 8 total court appearances) that he is almost certainly your best option. This was a difficult review to write objectively. I truly feel that I was treated unfairly by Deliverance County and in this case, a reasonable individual would agree the punishment did not fit the (alleged) crime I committed. Their angle clearly walked and talked financially; you don’t have to be head dishwasher at the boarded up diner in downtown D-Co to know there’s not a very diverse revenue stream in that area. While I’ve done my best to present this sans-sarcasm, I say the former only to say this: I believe Mr. Hammond had the odds stacked against him, fought a David and Goliath battle for me and won.

I hired Reidar after my initial consultation with him. He was willing to step up quickly when no other attorney wanted to/or could help us with a very complicated case. He was able to maintain focus on his portion of a the case and maintain reasonable calm between the other attorneys to bring in a s...ettlement of a nasty probate situation. His compassion for us and our situation was obvious throughout the process. He is very competent, calm, and comfortable in the courtroom and in the negotiation room. He worked with our other attorney to bring an end to a long painful story. We have high regard for him and recommend him highly.
