Matthew C. Price
Matt focuses his practice on representing the victims of serious accidents and their families. Matt was named a National Trial Lawyers Top 100 Attorney, a National Trial Lawyers Top 40 Under 40 Attorney, and he is a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Club. Particular focus areas include wrongful death, personal injury, automobile accidents, premises liability, products liability and worker's compensation. Often his practice deals with analyzing particular insurance coverage issues, locating benefits that may be available to victims or their families and providing the counsel and representation to clients that they need. It is his desire to provide the best legal representation possible to victims while also providing an atmosphere of caring and dedication.
Community:
Matt grew up in the Missouri Ozarks and is highly involved in the local community and abroad. He is a volunteer for his local church and spent a significant amount of time over the last few years in Asia working with underprivileged tribal people in the mountains of central Asia. Matt, his wife and their 3 children have hiked the mountains in central Asia interacting with and providing aid to indigenous tribal groups. These groups are completely isolated and often have no clean water, no electricity, no sanitation, an extremely limited food supply and no hope.
Locally, Matt served the Lake community by participating as a member on the Camden County Planning and Zoning Board and chairing the subcommittee on procedure. He has also served as guest legal speaker for local associations and participated as a mentor in a Lake Area School-to- Work program.
Matt was elected and served the lawyers of the State of Missouri as a representative on the Young Lawyers Section Counsel ("YLS") of the Missouri Bar. The YLS is the service arm of the Missouri Bar and acts as an organization created to provide, organize, and oversee attorney service projects across the State of Missouri wherein local attorneys give back to their communities.
Education:
Matt graduated as valedictorian of his high school class. He received his Bachelor's degree from the University of Missouri - Columbia with an emphasis in the areas of biology, chemistry and political science. He attended law school at the University of Missouri - Columbia School of Law and received multiple awards and honors for scholarship including placement on the Dean's List for Academic Excellence and the Omar E. Robinson Award. Matt was also a member of the London Law Consortium Delegation and was named a Robert's Scholar.
Experience:
In 1999 and 2000, Matt was a law clerk for a local Lake of the Ozark's law firm. In 2001 Matt began practicing law at the Lake of the Ozarks. For a number of years Matt has represented the victims of serious injuries and their families, and he continues to dedicate his time to ensuring that victims and their families are take car of and protected.
In addition to litigating cases at the trial level, over the course of the last decade, Matt has orally argued cases in U.S. Federal Court, the Missouri Appellate courts and the Missouri Supreme Court.
Matt is a member of the Missouri Bar Association and the Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys. He has been named as a National Trial Lawyers Top 100 Attorney, a National Trial Lawyers Top 40 Under 40, and he is a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Club.
