Brett Thomas Votava

Brett understands that, in many of his cases, he’s helping someone work through the most serious problem they’ve ever encountered in their life. He includes his clients in the process and explains concepts in terms they can easily understand. Ultimately, Brett aims to help his clients by being a friend who will listen to their problems and find a tailored solution specific to them.

Brett Votava has practiced exclusively on injury and wrongful death cases since graduating near the top of his class from the University of Missouri – Kansas City School of Law in 2001. He initially worked as an attorney for a global law firm, where he learned how big companies and defense attorneys defend injury and wrongful death cases.

Since 2003, Brett has exclusively represented injured people and families who have unnecessarily lost a loved one. He has experience with both routine cases and high-value complex cases culminating in trial. Brett focuses on injury and wrongful death law, specifically when caused by medical malpractice, unsafe premises such as businesses and homes, and motor vehicle crashes involving trucks, cars, and motorcycles. He also handles problems against insurance companies and pharmaceutical or medical device cases. Brett enjoys representing the little guy against big companies and the variety that makes every case so unique.
