We met and discussed a difficult financial situation with Mr. Barlow. He explained all options and discussed "next steps." We chose to file Chapter 13 - and it was a five year plan. Candidly, we were pretty scared...and we told him so at the 341A Hearing! He was completely reassuring, and within a fe...w weeks, with no difficulties at all, our plan was confirmed. Of course, a lot of "life" happens over a five year period, and we had our share. (Animals chewing through the roof, emergency room visits-yeah, pretty much whatever you can imagine!) Five years later - nearly to the day, we received our discharge from the court. A few months later, the case was closed. Some attorneys might have stopped at the discharge. Mr. Barlow, however, followed up to make sure that our credit reports were correct, and less than two years after that discharge our credit scores are over 800, so - yes - there is life after bankruptcy! We had a great experience, in spite of a bad financial situation, and we found that candor, honesty, and constant communication with Mr. Barlow could lead us to a much less scary life...so, thank you, Mr. Barlow! For those reading this who have a complex financial life and who are also facing a doubtful future because you just aren't sure how to make ends meet, please: talk to Mr. Barlow. If it is "doable" and legit, as long as you do as he recommends, you'll be okay. Be honest with yourself, too: Chapter 13 is not easy. If you can imagine it, it'll probably happen in 3-5 years, so be ready to work really hard and make some sacrifices. It's a "process" and, yes, you are putting your financial life/lives in the hand of Mr. Barlow and the court-trust him. As long as you've been thorough and completely honest, he'll get you to the finish line! A few years later, as long as you keep doing what's right, your credit scores and financial life will be as good as (maybe better?) those who have never filed bankruptcy. Bottom line, we recommend Mr. Barlow.
