I graduated with from the University of Kansas in 1988 with a B.A. in History and Political Science. I left home to attend law school in Michigan beginning in January, 1989.
I graduated from law school a semester early in the September, 1991. I sat for and passed the Michigan Bar Exam in January, 1992. While in law school was a student law clerk for the Hon. Michael Harrison in the Ingham County Circuit Court. During the year after graduation I was the law clerk to the Hon. James Fleming in the Jackson County (Michigan) Circuit Court.
After working in small general practice firm, I returned home to the Kansas City Area in 1993. I have been practicing law in the Kansas City Area since. We have our main office in North Kansas CIty and satellite offices in Liberty and Leavenworth.
Since 1999, I have focused on representing individuals and small businesses in Chapter 7 Bankruptcy cases and individuals and small business owners in Chapter 13 Bankruptcy cases. I also represent creditors in Chapter 7, 11, and Chapter 13 cases. Our firm handles personal injury cases, workers' compensation, immigration, and traffic matters.
I have found my representation of clients going through Bankruptcy to be rewarding and challenging.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my wife and daughter, shooting trap and skeet, and watching the Kansas City Royals and the Kansas Jayhawks.

Chapter 7 Bankruptcy
I filed bankruptcy for the first time, I didn't know what to expect. Attorney Barlow explained everything to me in great detail, which allowed this process to go smoothly without hassle. Attorney Barlow and his staff were very professional.
