John Richard Boyd

I have been practicing primarily in the field of workers' compensation since 1995.  Our firm is know both statewide, and nationally, for our efforts on behalf of the injured worker and his/her family.  We represent the Missouroi AFL-CIO, numerous IAFF, IBEW, CWA, UAW, IAMAW, USW unions, as well as Trade Councils, federations, etc.  Our passion is helping the working men and women of our country.  

Outside of work, I am a very devoted family man and father to my children.  I am an avid outdoorsman, having been hunting since my early teens.  I love to deer and turkey hunt, with many wall hangers for both.  I also am an avid fisherman, especially in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area (BWCA) around and near Ely, Minnesota.  My interest and love of that area, began in 1983, as a young Boy Scout.  My father and I, as well as other family members, have been traveling there for 30 years, to enjoy the pristine wilderness and wildlife, as well as world class fishing.

I am also an avid historian, especially of military history.  I have a vast collection of military art, signed by WW2 veterans who served in various branches of the US Armed Forces, the British Army/RAF, as well as in the German Army/Luftwaffe.  

Lastly, I have a profound weakness for single malt scotch and good single barrel bourbons and whiskey.
