He fixed what the previous lawyer broke

Ben fixed my mess of a legal case. My ex (who was an attorney) and my other ex (who is easily influenced) conspired together to create a situation I couldn’t handle. It felt like an impossible situation, and I expected to lose everything. My previous lawyer Barbara Behrens (she’s scary, don’t do i...t!) used aggressive tactics to battle them in court, skyrocketing my legal fees and not getting very far. Ben picked up where she left off, and put the pieces back together to make a seamless strategy. He has a great relationship with judges across St. Louis, as well as other lawyers — this really helps his clients. My case was closed in months, exactly the way I would have hoped. He counseled me, supported me, laughed with me, and won. I can’t thank him enough for everything he did. And I can’t imagine life if he hadn’t

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
