"Being both an excellent divorce attorney & a successful divorce mediator takes a certain type of person. Usually attorneys are not able to be effective mediators because our legal background and training conditioned us to give legal advice and to be our clients’ advocates. By contrast mediators are prohibited from giving legal advice & are required to be impartial.
