I’ll admit, Cynthia and I had a rough start and I was feeling unheard in my case and as such deeply concerned for my child. I will say that requesting time with her if you don’t feel ‘heard’ is honored and listened to. I think many of us get so feeling bamboozled with stress in child custody ca...ses that we don’t do these things as much as we should. After a follow up meeting request which Cynthia honored, she explained to me her passion for her role, and I could tell that it came from her heart. She meant it. She is approachable but just keep in mind your case isn’t her only case. After having doubts and circling back again after I wasn’t comfortable with the way things were going, I came to really appreciate her and feel grateful for her as a GAL. My case is still pending, but I did feel very ‘heard’ and felt that her heart was in the right place as a GAL.

I had very little time to find a lawyer to cover my custody case. Cynthia was one of three lawyers I spoke to and I knew she would be the right fit for me. My case was pending for almost a year and a half. It was extremely long and Cynthia was there every step of the way. As an advisor, she always re...commended taking the higher road and I respected her for that. She thinks about the big picture, even when you're unable to do so in the moment. She genuinely cared about the outcome for my child. She'd write or call even if it wasn't convenient for her and even if it was "I just saw your email, I will get back to you". She was upfront and honest about how legal procedures work so that I could make the best choices on creating a plan for our future. I was not an easy client, pretty demanding actually and she handled it extremely well. I am so grateful for her hard work.

Cynthia is a terrible attorney. She does absolutely NOTHING and charges exorbitant fees. One of my biggest issues with her is her poor communication. She is very unresponsive, including in times of emergency. Cynthia rarely knows what is going on in a case, I.e. a parent repeatedly withholding the... child from the other parent during their custodial time. Cynthia does not care, if you want someone who takes your child’s best interest at heart she’s not for you. During my trial she barely paid attention to what was happening. Cynthia was completely checked out, she was snacking, texting (and laughing) and sending emails most of the time. I’m deeply disappointed and Definitely do not recommend her.
