Family law has been the focus of my law practice since I began my work as an attorney. Choosing an attorney to represent you for your divorce, custody and support, modification or enforcement matter is one of the most important decisions that you will make during those processes. Your attorney should be someone you trust, who listens to and works with you to set goals and attain them.
I tailor my representation and guidance to each client and their specific needs. No two clients' goals and situations are the same. Hearing and listening to my clients are both important. I care about my clients and their futures beyond their current situation; my clients and I form a partnership during their legal process to help them work through the issues they face.
At the time that I began practicing law, I chose family law because I enjoy working directly with people and helping them through difficult times. I strive to provide my clients with personal, one-on-one attention to their legal needs. I make myself available to my clients as they need so we can address the events that occur during the changing times in their lives. When selecting a family law attorney, it is vital to choose someone with focused experience and skill who can handle the complicated legal issues involved. It is also important to select an attorney with whom you are comfortable sharing the personal details of your history and who gives your legal matter the attention it deserves. I have extensive experience litigating complex custody, support and property matters. I also have experience representing clients in cooperative and "Collaborative" cases where the parties work together to reach a settlement that works for them and their family. In addition to represent clients individually, in my practice I also serve as a mediator to parties wanting to resolve their divorces, custody and support cases and modifications. In mediation, I work with both parties to settle their cases.

Outstanding Attorney
I was very pleased to have an attorney that took care of my daughter's best interests. She was very reliable and never missed a call or email. I would most definitely recommend Cynthia to anyone who has children. She not only cares for the children but the parent as well.

Fair and has a heart for her role as a GAL
I’ll admit, Cynthia and I had a rough start and I was feeling unheard in my case and as such deeply concerned for my child. I will say that requesting time with her if you don’t feel ‘heard’ is honored and listened to. I think many of us get so feeling bamboozled with stress in child custody ca...

Best Decision
I had very little time to find a lawyer to cover my custody case. Cynthia was one of three lawyers I spoke to and I knew she would be the right fit for me. My case was pending for almost a year and a half. It was extremely long and Cynthia was there every step of the way. As an advisor, she always re...

Absolute Disgrace
Cynthia is a terrible attorney. She does absolutely NOTHING and charges exorbitant fees. One of my biggest issues with her is her poor communication. She is very unresponsive, including in times of emergency. Cynthia rarely knows what is going on in a case, I.e. a parent repeatedly withholding the...

Biased against Fathers
If she is assigned to your custody case and you are a father, you will be screwed. My ex lied the entirety of our case and was never reprimanded. Ms Albin cared very little about seeing a dad’s side and instead ruled for my ex every time. Run if she is appointed to your case!!!!
"I have had many cases with Cynthia and I find her to be diligent, hard working, ethical, and compassionate in her role as opposing counsel and as a guardian ad litem. She has almost 20 years of experience and she is well respected in the St. Louis and St. Charles legal communities and before their judges. She is a zealous advocate when needed and a resourceful problem solver if a case can be settled in lieu of trial. She is part of a prestigious family law and volunteers in the legal community actively. I would highly recommend you consider Cynthia as your attorney."
