Less talk, more listening

I put a retainer of $500 to write a letter and have a few conversations. First, she will tell you everything she thinks and will not listen to anything you say and constantly interrupts or says, stop! Stop! STOP! Listen to me. Second, she took it upon herself to make negotiations on my behalf and g...ave all details she asked me for and told me I had no choice but to take it and cost me thousands. She made an agreement with the other party to handle documents on their side yet she kept billing me with the notion that they will be billing the other part in the end. When the closing was complete, she didn’t charge the correct amount back to the other party and I was expected to pay the remaining $489, totaling $989 for writing one letter and having 3 conversations. This took her 1.75 hours. At $300/hr, that is $525. I paid it because it was just a ew hundred dollars, just to be done and was thankful that I didn’t have something more complex. Also, her and her admin constantly bickers and no one has any idea at any given time where things are, the billing or what documents needs to be signed and will have you come up to sign the same documents multiple times. She texts late at night and you are always expected to be on her time. On my way home from closing, I called to take the final check by the office and the admin said she had no idea what I owed. I said I would wait for the bill to come in and pay it. They then call me a week later, still never seeing the final bill to pay it same day and she would be waiting. I would not recommend.

The worse lawyer ever

I hired Susan Grammer about 10 years ago for my divorce...i had to put $3000 down. She was always late for appointments, then one time during my appointment she had another client in the office with us while she thought I was going to pay her full hourly rate which wa s at the $300; on the top of tha...t she fell asleep while she typing and in the middle of talking to me. Dealing with her made the divorce way harder then it should of been. She didnt get me a dime, she told me that i should of just sign the divorce paper because i could not afford her and i already used up my down payment so i owe her more money. I was upset because i was not informed nor receive d a bill from her. I ended up firing her before the divorce was final, and I represented my self.

HORRIBLE

I used Susan about 4 years ago for my divorce..... 9,000 dollars later and 18 MONTHS later it STILL wasn't finalized. She's a joke in the courtroom and all she does is argue irrelevant issues instead of the issues that need to be addressed. My ex didn't even have a lawyer and he managed to railroad h...er in the courtroom. DO NOT hire this woman unless you want to waste money with little results. I ended up getting rid of her (and the hearing where I was terminating my services with her IN FRONT of a judge she didn't even bother to show up, real classy and real professional let me tell ya) and finalizing my divorce in ONE DAY and she couldn't do it in a year and half!! Read the other reviews on here as they are all accurate as well. STAY AWAY from this attorney!!

She truly is as bad as they say.

Missed my kids baseball game to be at 7pm appointment. Finally got to me around midnight very condescending and hateful when could not remember facts of case after all our meeting went to close to 2am at a cost of 400.00. She drug out her questions to pad the tab. She told me when I went to court to ...tell the judge in a civil case she could not be there due to another case and assured me they would give me a continuance. Well next thing you know judge is swearing me in. The other guy had his lawyer, but not me judge advised we better work something out, so I took a deal I really didn't want cause my lawyer wasn't there. The deal was struck when Susan strolled in after her other case was over and insisted she would look the agreement over as to assure I wasn't getting the shaft. She took about 15 mins to look it over. Next week I received 500.00 bill 100.00 for looking it over 200.00 drive to court 200.00 for her drive home. That's one bill I never paid or never will.

No Good

This I must say was the worst experience of my life. That is saying alot seeing as how I was going through a divorce. I was told to fight for one thing, and then at the end she told me I was never going to recieve what she first told me and I was crazy to think that I would. I was always kept in th...e waiting room for well over 3 hours after my appointment. She fell asleep while in the middle of conversations to many times to count. When confronted by the other attorney representing my x husband about how much she had charged she suddenly was to afraid to deal with the case or anything that I wanted out of it. The last hearing She told me I did not need to come to because it was going to be reset. Then she instead went through and settled everything without even talking with me first. I will be going back to court to fix her screw up. And i have every intention of turning her in. DO NOT USE HER unless you enjoy blowing $30,000.00 on a case that should only have cost $2500.00 and took almost 2 years. I was only married for a year.
