Waste of money

Had a child custody case. Seemed like she was too busy to take care of my case because nothing got done unless I was the one asking and reminding her and her paralegal what was going on. I also received extremely important information given to me by her paralegal that was incorrect. They were not on ...the same page with anything. I hired an attorney because I wanted help and direction because I felt like I didn’t know what I was doing. I ended up wasting money because I could have done what she did for me. I will never recommend her to anyone.

I am sorry you feel that way. My door is always open to all my clients to schedule a meeting with me to review any strategy or information you wish to review with the attorney. Clients are encouraged to do so as often and frequently as they feel they need in their case. In addition, clients have my personal cell phone number to address any emergent concerns they may have at any time. My extremely talented staff are directed by myself personally in all their interactions and work. Naturally an attorney's strategy and opinion may change as the case progresses and detailed facts and evidence is revealed. Watson Law with our fully client integrated digital file systems is the foremost in the area in providing a high level of personal service to each and every one of our clients. It is vital in this open visitation environment to retain an experienced attorney to ensure that your final orders reflect the needs and reality of your family. In addition, an experienced attorney will be able to anticipate and draft orders which will reduce the potential for future conflict between households. Watson Law with 20 years of experience is the best choice for navigating you and your family through these family issues. As always, we wish you and yours health and happiness. Sincerely, Linda Watson

Great lawyer

I hired Ms. Watson for a speeding ticket for 31+ over. She was able to get it down to 20-25 which was the best possible outcome, giving me court supervision, a fine, and a traffic class requirement. A few months later I received a petition to revoke my court supervision after failing to complete my t...raffic class which I had totally forgotten about. I set up a meeting with Ms. Watson and she quickly calmed my nerves explaining this would be super easy for her and she would help me for no extra charge. She was able to extend my deadline for my traffic class and in turn save me from a suspended license. Linda Watson is a smart, experienced, and talented lawyer that will be my go to lawyer for all future problems I may run into.

Keep Looking!!!

I had a similar experience as the client that gave her the negative review on July 3rd. Linda and her staff made many mistakes in my case as well. I found out the hard way that she does not take well to asking to make corrections. She would never admit to any errors in my case. In the end she ending... up turning on me. Before I even retained Linda I made clear that I wanted my ex to pay all legal fees as he was in contempt of court and had been for 3 years. He was already told by the representative from Child Support that he would be required to pay my legal fees should he continue to be in contempt since they could not represent me in this matter as it was for medical bills. Linda knew this and had agreed it wouldn't be a problem. The last agreement before we were to go to court I reminded her that I wanted her to be sure to figure all her fees into his ordered amount. The order only stated he should pay fees in the amount of $600 when I gave her a $1000 retainer so I asked them to correct before I would sign the agreement. I even specifically asked that she figure in her court fees. I had only received one statement at that time and that had been about 45 days earlier so I had no idea what my balance was at that point. She did not ever disclose to me that she had intended to bill me over the amount she had ordered him to pay. I received 2 statements after everything had been settled that included all her court fees. I ended up having to pay well over what my ex had been ordered. This has been an awful experience for me and I hope to save anyone else from the same fate. She will probably have some clever response to this but I have all my emails still and we both know what the truth is. There are plenty of lawyers in Peoria so keep looking!

Needs to go back to school

Linda's billing practices are quite sketchy. Be certain to document times you contacted and spoke to her or staff. She will charge you for anything...and also for nothing! Duplicate charges, no direct answers. Don't bother to attempt resolution, she's always right. Linda is very condescending. Linda ...missed many important, key points in my case...if I would have stuck with her, I would have lost out on a significant amount. So your own work. The office staff is just as ignorant regarding laws. I switched attorneys and I am so glad it did.

I am sorry you feel this way. My door is always open free of charge to anyone with a question regarding our itemized detailed invoices. All of my clients receive my personal cell phone number and have unprecedented access to me for any question regarding the direction of the case or the legal process. At Watson Law we care about our clients as we navigate them through not only the legal process but what is typically a difficult time in a client's life. Best of luck in your legal endeavors.

ONE OF THE BEST AROUND AND THAT IS A FACT!!!!!!

Linda is currently helping me with a civil matter and she is rocking it for me. I had filed it on my own and missed a lot of charges i could have filed or filed wrong and as soon as she took it on she fixed all my errors and now has my case going in the right direction and she has helped fully prote...cted the public rights and laws to be upheld and bring the wrong doers to justice ,she is not your everyday lawyer she has that pep in her step that you don't find in most lawyers .Like most lawyers i have came across or dealt with or even heard about ,Linda is one of the very few that welcome going to trial and it don't seem to faze her in anyway putting in more time and effort for her clients, like you will not find with most lawyers . I would recommend her in a heart beat to anyone that is having any type of issue involving law matters because she is a down to earth person and is very caring for others and i'm sure if she couldn't help you in your law matter (as in she does not practice it) she would know someone that could and i'd trust her opinion of another lawyer before anyone else. But again she is not like most lawyers ,She puts in the hours the work and does everything she can for her clients , Linda is a lawyer that wont sell you short to lighten her load or to avoid trial and that's a fact .I couldn't be happier having her as my lawyer .
