Attorney J. Samuel Worley has over ten years experience prosecuting and defending child support, traffic, DUI, and criminal cases on the misdemeanor and felony levels, both as a private criminal defense and family law attorney and a former Cook County Assistant State's Attorney. Mr. Worley has successfully handled hundreds of cases and has the ability to quickly assess a case and work with the client to formulate a plan for the best defense possible. Mr. Worley earned his law degree from the John Marshall Law School and was admitted to the Illinois Bar in 2004. While in law school, Mr. Worley was the runner-up out of 290 participants in the school’s oral argument and legal writing competition and he received a scholarship for being on the Moot Court Executive Board. He also represented John Marshall in two National Moot Court competitions, finishing as a semi-finalist in the Wecheler Criminal Law competition in Buffalo, NY. Mr. Worley earned his Maters in Social Work from the University of Tennessee in 1995 and his Bachelors of Arts in Psychology in 1991. Prior to attending law school, Mr. Worley worked for almost a decade as a therapist and program director in the areas of violence prevention, conflict resolution and domestic and family violence. His unique pairing of education and experience helps Mr. Worley empathize with his clients, understanding their particular situations and devising innovative ways to resolve cases in favor of his clients in a quick and efficient manner. Mr. Worley is dedicated to the people he works to help and will give each client the personal attention that they deserve.

Sam was amazing. My divorce process was smooth and easy. If you want someone to protect your rights and finances, you can’t go wrong with him. He gets 5 stars, but really deserves 10.
