To Whom It May Concern: I initially got an attorney because my daughter’s mom had gotten an attorney. The custody process was very confusing and unclear to me because in my mind, I had done nothing to warrant such a response from my daughter’s mother. I found my first attorney Sarah through th...e Illinois Bar Association. Sarah was nice but did not do a very good job of explaining the process or maybe I did not ask the right questions. In the end, I did not feel like I was getting the representation that was required. While discussing the matter with one of my close friends. He suggested that I take a meeting with this amazing attorney that he had heard about by the name of Maliha. At first, I was reluctant because I could not imagine that another attorney would approach the custody litigation differently. Boy, was I wrong! After speaking with Maliha, I knew within the first 5 minutes that I would be in good hands and in a much better position if Maliha was my attorney. Maliha immediately got to work and within less than a week, I had custody of my daughter. Conversely, I had my former attorney for almost 2 years and did not feel that any progress had been made. Maliha is brilliant and pushed me to be a better client and a better parent to my daughter Elisa. Maliha is an attorney that can read the room, she quickly picked up on the judge’s tenor and demeanor and the best way to approach him.
