TOP LAWYER

Paul O’Toole is my Work Comp lawyer. He came highly recommended by a family member. He is very attentive in taking care of my case. He even went as far as providing his cell phone number to reach him for matters of immediate nature. I am extremely happy having Mr. O’Toole as my attorney and would... no doubt refer him to family and friends. A+

Outstanding Advocate!

Mr. O'Toole represented my elderly Uncle in a case involving complicated medical damages. He spent countless hours obtaining medical experts to link the medical condition to the accident. He was always available whenever we needed to discuss the matter. He was successful in defeating the insurance co...mpany. Mr. O'Toole was very professional and honest. He was always timely in returning phone calls. In fact, we reached out to him on Christmas Eve and he spent an hour consulting with my Uncle. Since that time, he has represented many of our family members and friends. He is a lawyer that handles complicated and serious matters. We were very happy with his representation and would highly recommend him.

Helpful, Professional AND caring.

I hired Mr. O'Toole to represent me in an auto accident that caused severe whiplash and a torn rotator cuff from the seatbelt. He spoke with me personally on a regular basis. The ONLY thing that held up my case were doctors who wanted to keep "treating" me with physical therapy and medications. ... Once I decided to have the surgery and was released from the final round of physical therapy, my case was ready to be filed and was done so promptly. The car that hit us was registered as a company vehichle for another auto insurance company and they fought hard not to give me my money back. Paul spoke with me regularly, giving me updates, and even gave me his personal cell number. I missed my first deposition due to unrelated illness and he rescheduled that promptly also. He even went so far as to stop dep when he saw tears in my eyes and let me cry in the hallway when I became embarrassed to say that I was afraid to have the surgery. We did win by the way. He got me the entire insurance policy's worth and made sure to get me discounts on every medical bill he could possible. I refer him to everyone I know. I even took POA over a car accident my younger brother was in, as he works out of town. Paul called me from his son's hockey tournament in another state just to discuss issues we were having with the rinkydink insurance company that outright REFUSED (in writing) to cover my brother's injuries. They attempted to get out of it by saying the owner of the vehicle didn't carry insurance to cover passengers!! (On a "full coverage" policy) He won that entire policy also.

Malpractice is not even what he does.... so why did he take our case and a year and a half later has does nothing.

My sister and I went to Paul O'Toole in Jan 2013 and he told us the way he works is through family of lawyers and Doctors that is why he does not take any money we also told him we did not want to find out in 6 months that he could not help us and he said "Oh no I won't let it go that long I promise.... Well 1 1/2 later he has done NOTHING. Every time I call he always has a excuse. We fired him and now are scrambling looking for a lawyer because the time is almost up and we will not be able to file! DO NOT hire this man as your lawyer, it's a shame the man calls himself a lawyer!!!!!

Unprofessional

My sister and I hired Paul G. O’Toole regarding a medical malpractice case. Every time we called, he complained about how tired and crabby he was and told me he was working on the case. When I would press on about things he told us he'd do but didn't, he said he was busy on another case and that I ha...d to give him some leeway. The last time I spoke to him, I told him I didn’t care about how he was feeling, I wanted a definite status on the case. It turned out that he didn’t do anything on our case. He had it for 1-1/2 years and did nothing. We fired him and are now looking for new representation, but it’s difficult because of the time constraints. One attorney who wanted to speak with Mr. O’Toole about our case, stated he didn’t get much from him. The attorney said O'Toole must have different policies because Mr. O’Toole claimed that we didn’t upfront any money so that’s why he didn’t do anything on the case. Paul O'Toole NEVER asked us for money. He outright lied to the attorney. Even this profile is wrong because the firm name is Salvato & O’Toole. I don’t know where he received the 5 marks for Professional Conduct, but the 1 mark for Industry Recognition should tell you something. If you want a professional, hard-working lawyer, who is invested 100%, Paul G. O’Toole is definitely NOT your lawyer. I’ll warn everyone in the Chicago area to stay away from Paul G. O'Toole.
