Tracy Marie Rizzo

Great experience! So, without going into my divorce saga (which after 2 years finally ended this week), I need to praise my intelligent, ethical, strategic, fair, honest, humble, and kind, pitbull lawyer Tracy Rizzo. I initially hired a suburban lawyer in June 2019 who was not really a divorce sp...ecialist, thinking because the rates were lower, "it will all be fine," but it was not. I was a bit worried because my ex-husband's lawyer came off as very misogynistic, and his and my ex's bully tactics were awful. Tracy came HIGHLY recommended by a friend (a top Chicago plaintiff's lawyer). I was worried I was going to get the same but WAS I so pleasantly SURPRISED! This woman is incredible!! Strategic but fair in her approach. I told her once, "Tracy, you are just pitbull... but an ethical and fair pitbull." She takes no garbage and left my ex scrambling for another attorney, one where he would then show up with 2 attorneys, and he got double-billed for that, I am sure. Eventually, he seemingly got passed off to the "junior attorney" in the firm, though. Our divorce should have been over very quickly, but (now) ex-husband made it difficult. His new lawyer sent out all kinds of subpoenas, primarily to harass me, which is how I felt. Tracy would do her magic, file what she needed to do, and stopped them! She is BRILLIANT. She is a great protector and took no prisoners doing so. If you know ANYONE looking for the greatest attorney in the Chicago area, I will not hesitate for one second to say TRACY RIZZO! She knows the laws inside and out, she is in solo practice so that you won't get passed off to the "junior attorney," and she is empathetic. I did not call her all of the time. I let her work her magic. She did listen to my concerns and sometimes would email me at 2 a.m. if she could not sleep because my case was on her mind. She worked her butt off this past Saturday and Sunday trying to negotiate deals, as our trial (yep, trial) was fast approaching. Luckily, we were able to settle out of court finally! Seriously, I KNOW my outcome would not have been nearly this good without Tracy on my side. She is "simply the best, better than all the rest"... as the song goes. She has my undying gratitude. Again, if you know anyone looking for a great family attorney, not smug but cheerful, organized, real, intelligent, and just a really good person... it's TRACY RIZZO for the win! From the first phone consultation I knew that Tracy would be the right lawyer to handle my divorce. She clearly explained the process and what to reasonably expect moving forward. In my case, Ms. Rizzo’s reputation preceded her. She was recommended by a relative via the recounting of her courtroom exploits. No one ever wants to go through something like a divorce, but when I had to, I made a beeline for her office. Ms. Rizzo is a consummate professional and is a master of ...her craft. She cuts right through the superfluous and delves into the facts. She does not relent – akin to a Pitbull - and will fight tooth and nail for you. I saw this as she decimated the opposing counsel in my case (here is looking at you AWO). As a result, the judge saw through the mendacity presented by the opposing party and further stated that they would not have any credibility in the remaining part of the proceedings. Astute, cunning, caring, and relentless. These are some of the qualities that exemplify Ms. Rizzo.
