We hired Michael to assist us in a property purchase at the recommendation of our real-estate agent. This was our second go-around for this type of transaction in the past 2 1/2 years. The attorney we worked with on the first purchase was nice enough as a person, but was extremely disorganized. G...iven that the transaction was the purchase of our first home, this did not inspire confidence, nor ease any of the anxiety that can sometimes be a part of making the largest purchase of your life to-date. In this case, while we were making a much smaller and simpler (but not as common) real-estate purchase, Michael displayed far more organization than our previous attorney. He also proactively provided us with information and options. While not all of this information was tailored specifically to us and was designed to benefit other clients as well, it obviously required that he generate the info up-front and work regularly to ensure that it was up to date. It surely allowed him to respond to us with useful information in a timely manner, which was of great benefit to us. That, combined with his completely professional demeanor and what seemed to be a genuine desire to help us do what was in our best interests made for a positive and relatively easy experience. Additionally, given that this was a _very_ small property purchase in terms of money, Michael did more work than I would have expected given the minor profit he stood to make for his services. Perhaps that, more so even than his personality led me to feel that he was someone I could trust not only with this transaction, but with potential future transactions as well.

Michael Wasserman was recommended by our real estate agent, and we really enjoyed working with him. He was incredibly responsive to my many questions (we were first time homeowners), and he helped guide us through a relatively difficult closing. He gave very clear instructions for anything that we ...needed to do on our end, and he gave great legal advice, letting us know about any risks that were involved.

Michael has handled several real estate transactions for my wife and I over the past decade - both purchase and sale. We were repeat customers because 1) he can smoothly navigate the arcane and daunting world of Cook County real estate; 2) he is honest and fair; 3) his rates are very reasonable; 4) ...he communicates legal issues in the vernacular; and 5) he's a really nice guy (which does count, you know!). Though we have relocated outside the IL area, we would definitely call him should we decide to return, and we would unhesitatingly recommend him to anyone needing the legal services he provides.

I just closed on the sale of my town home, which took about 3 months due to mortgage difficulties. Michael was outstanding in providing guidance and quickly reviewing and updating any documents that would expedite the matter. He kept me informed on all developments and was available when I called, ...or received prompt call backs. I would definitely use Michael on my next transaction and highly recommend his services.
