Michael Boxerman helped us navigate getting a lease for our new school. He helped us understand many cryptic details in the lease and provided excellent perspective from his extensive experience. When it came to dealing with the other lawyers, he was a fierce defender of our best interests. I would h...ighly recommend Michael Boxerman for any legal help with purchasing a franchise.

Tells you what you need to know, not just what you want to hear.

I used Michael and his team to review a franchise agreement and was very pleased with all of his service. From the beginning he was honest about his thoughts and the concerns he had. It would have been easiest for him to simply agree with everything I was saying but he instead shared the informatio...n that I needed to hear. Michael helped us negotiate far better terms with our franchisor and we were able to negate some of the top concerns that he had with the agreement as it was originally received. I would highly recommend working with Michael in the future.

Best Business Attorney

I have known and worked with Michael for several years. He is experienced in both business litigation and business transactions, and is certainly on top of both fields. He was able to steer me clear of pitfalls, explain the pros and cons of different approaches, and keep my costs down at the same tim...e. Michael always went out of his way to make sure I understood what was happening and why, which I can't say about other attorneys I've worked with. I would unequivocally recommend him to anybody seeking legal help with their business or franchise.

Above Expections

When my daughter and I were in need of legal representation in the acquisition of a franchise I called my personal attorney. While he is at a large firm, they only represent franchisors. He said that his partners have had many dealing with Michael Boxerman and found him to be great at advising his cl...ients about what they should consider in pursing becoming a franchisee and representing them in the franchise agreement process. They could not have been more correct. Michael first took the time to be sure we understood what a franchise relationship entailed. He explained the responsibilities that both franchisee and franchisor have to each other. He cautioned us where we could find ourselves exposed to liabilities that might not be immediately apparent in reading the documents. In short he utilized his expertise and experience to be sure our lack thereof did not unknowingly put us into an unexpected position. Once we decided to proceed with obtaining the franchise Michael was terrific. The franchisor was located in London so call timing was more difficult. He made himself available whenever we needed him to get the deal done. At one crucial time right before we were heading to London a deal breaking issue had to be resolved. Michael took hours one weekend, while on a family vacation, to get on a conference call and resolve the matter. I have been in business for over forty years and this kind of dedication is rare. There were many issues to negotiate in the franchise agreement. Michael knew that even if an issue as not to our liking, it was normal and not worth the expense fighting over. He also stood his ground for us when a clause in the agreement needed to be changed. In the end we signed an agreement that was better than I thought it would be. In summary, Michael Boxerman explained what his representation would entail including an estimate of the legal fees. Michael went above and beyond our expectations in getting our deal done within parameters acceptable to us. His fees were proper for the work he performed for us. I would recommend Michael Boxerman to anyone needing legal representation regarding franchises without any reservations.
