Knoweledgeable and affordable

I have limited experience in dealing with lawyers. However, I would highly recommend the Jeff Antonelli law firm for his attention to details. The excellent job he did in keeping me informed, his knowledge, and I can say the same for the other lawyers in his firm.

Great Outcome

Like most of the reviewers on here I was attacked with this horrible lawsuit as well from Strike 3 Holdings, very scary stuff if you don't know what the heck is going on and finding out those lonely days of 3 to 8 minutes would cost you nearly $27,000. After having a consultation of great extent I h...ired Mr. Antonelli to take my case on and was perceived as a guilty defendant by these "leeches" and they wanted everything and did not care if you are left out on the streets begging for spare change as long as they got their money out of you. I settled a little over the amount I was willing to pay them, in my profession I would have given them what they initially asked for but Mr. Antonelli assured me that it would not be the best way to approach those "leeches" my words not his. With that being said, I have to agree with some of the reviews about the communication part as it can be hard getting Mr. Antonelli on a call, but his paralegal Katrina always responded immediately and was very empathetic with my frustration. Communication with your attorney is priority in a situation like this one I felt as if the paralegal should not have to deal with stress of emotional clients with a case like mines or any case with the content of adult pornography. This was the most embarrassing situation I have ever had to deal with. I would recommend his services again, please keep up the great work. Thank you again Jeffrey and Katrina for the hard work.

Thank you for recommending our services! All of our staff are professionals, and the particular copyrighted works involved in some cases are not an issue. Our goal is to provide you the best legal result possible in a situation that you did not want to occur. I am glad we helped you deal with a private matter that caused emotional distress for you. If I can ever be of assistance, or if you have followup questions, please do not hesitate to call or email me directly. Jeffrey Antonelli

Make sure you are his priority.

(The actual rate is 3.4) I found Antonelli Law by clicking on their ad on Google. Their testimonials and informative material convinced me that they are a professional firm in case Strike 3 holdings attacks you. I scheduled an appointment with Mr. Antonelli, but he was not the person who called m...e. I was assigned to another attorney, and I am confident that Mr. Antonelli was never involved in my case. I couldn't talk with Mr. Antonelli or the assigned attorney during my process even once. I left messages with their third-party secretary, and no one called back. There are two possibilities: 1) They have too many clients, and the firm is understaffed (you are just one of their clients and not their top priority). 2) They don't care about your calls except when they want to convince you to hire them. It is also essential to make sure who handles your case, especially when choosing a firm based on online reviews. The estimation of the final settlement is inaccurate, and it is better not to count on it.

Good legal advice bad Communication

Being hit with a lawsuit is scary and I had no idea what was in store for me until searching the internet and seeing that I somehow illegally downloaded adult movies . I found Antonelli Law through a google search and after consulting with him I hired his firm. At first I was reassured that the c...ase will be handled promptly with as little as 2 to 3 months and he will handle my case like it was top priority. Mr. Antonelli failed in the communication department, I spoke to him twice throughout my whole case without him reaching out to me, I spoke more to his paralegal Katrina who responded to all my emails very quickly and had even scheduled calls for me to speak with my attorney and Jeff never responded to my calls, he was either on another call or away from his desk. I understood that things happened in the firm and that they were behind but when you pay for a service you expect results, the second email I received from Jeff was that I needed to pay more money to file a motion. The movie company wanted $37,000 from me to settle, I sent in everything to Jeff and his paralegal and the maximum amount I can afford and a month later Mr. Antonelli is asking me for more money. After talking to the paralegal my documents were never sent to the movie company and was about to amend their complaint naming me in this lawsuit. Katrina sent my documents and a counteroffer and in two days I received an email from Ms. Katrina with a settlement agreement attached settling my case for less than my maximum offer. The paralegal did more than the attorney in my case, that is why I give 3 stars and my only suggestion to her is be less tense, I could hear it in your voice but I can understand your frustration.

Dear Anonymous, I wish I knew which client you are so I could address you personally. Providing excellent communications with our clients is one of our most important goals and I am glad you found communicating with my paralegal easy. However, I am sorry to learn you found communicating with me by telephone difficult. Did you try to emailing me for a time to talk? I do try to personally call back each client promptly and consistently. I do ask my paralegal to help me convey messages with our clients to keep the cases progressing as it should when I am either busy, at court, or on the telephone. I even email with clients at night and on weekends whenever possible. I am sorry you felt communicating with me by telephone was difficult and we are working internally to be sure that every client feels cared for personally. As for legal fees, we resolve nearly every case that we settle on a flat fee basis with absolutely no additional fees whatsoever. Since I do not know who you are, I cannot address your particular situation with certainty in the details. Sometimes clients hire us after they were already served with a Summons. When that happens, our flat fee includes all settlement negotiations out of court but we are also upfront about the additional in-court costs of needing to file any Motions to Extend Time or filing an Answer or Motion to Dismiss by the court-imposed deadline to protect you. Basically, if you have already been served with a Summons before you hired us, you have 21 days from the day you were served to file responsive paperwork with the court to avoid a default judgment. Try as we might, not all cases can be settled on satisfactory terms within that time period, especially when we are hired just before that responsive paperwork is due. So, in order to protect clients who have already been served with a Summons from a default judgment, we often file a Motion to Extend Time to increase the time we can continue to negotiate a settlement, before having to file a more expensive Answer with Counterclaims and Affirmative Defenses or even a Motion to Dismiss. I am sorry if the cost for filing necessary motions in court were not made clear to you when you hired us. Finally, and again I do not know who you are so I do not know your particular circumstance, but sometimes during settlement negotiations it becomes necessary to file a Motion to Proceed Anonymously (aka a Motion for Protective Order) when the movie company is threatening to imminently file an Amended Complaint against you. Filing a Motion to Proceed Anonymously in court is an additional legal cost, which is not necessary for most of our settlement negotiations. Sometimes the movie companies take an agonizingly long time to respond to our settlement discussion communications, especially with Malibu Media LLC. This can create a situation where the movie company has taken up so much time that they face the court dismissing their lawsuit entirely if they do not file an Amended Complaint. So, they will then inform us they will be filing an Amended Complaint (with your name as the public defendant) within a few days if we do not settle, and if the current settlement negotiations have not yet resulted in a fair settlement price, then in order to not simply capitulate or give in to their demands, when a client wants to remain anonymous to the public in the court record, then it is imperative to file a Motion to Proceed Anonymously in court. I have been practicing for nearly 20 years, providing excellent legal defense in court and out of court settlement negotiations for over 2,000 clients nationwide. This is the first time we have received this input; I promise you we have already begun to address the need in our firm to doubly make sure each and every client knows with confidence they can speak with me personally, by telephone or in the office. I am glad we did successfully resolve your case and provided you with good legal advice that helped you move on.
