Jason Alan Ott

I had been trying to go through the channels of the Sec of State to get my license reinstated (revoked 16 years ago). I jumped through all the hoops and spent all the money they asked for and I got nowhere. They wanted this, and when I gave it to them they wanted that, and on and on. Finally I cal...led Jason and asked for help. He made recommendations as to what was required by law and what I should do. Finally, after almost 17 years, I am driving again. Thanks Jason!

This is my first DUI, Thank God I did not injury anyone nor myself. I did not know what to expect. I hired Jason Ott who was understanding of my situation and very informative as to what I could and would expect. He helped me understand the courts decisions and was with me every step of the way. I ho...pe I never go thru this again, but if I had to,I know I could trust Jason, he's quick to respond to my calls and emails. Let me begin by saying that when i was arrested last summer, i was a first time DUI offender. I did not know what to do, who to call, all i knew is that I needed a great attorney to fight for me, and defend my rights to get the best possible outcome. I began my search online and came across 4 differe...nt attorneys. One of these attorneys is actully on Jason's endorsement's page as well! after telephone interviews with all of them, i chose Jason Ott. Why did i choose Jason? Well, if you have had a telephone conversation with him you know why. Right from the first conversation, he was very knowledgable with EVERY question. Prior to calling these attorneys i had a list of questions to ask to see if they would be a right fit. Also, Jason has a very personable quality and cares about what your going through all the while keeping a very professional demeanor. From the moment i hired him, he began working on my case. Believe me, for the first couple of months i emailed Jason every few days with a new question about my case because of fears i had, and Jason always returned my emails within hours. No matter what question, what scenario i thought of Jason had an answer in regards to the DUI laws in the state of illinois. As my final court date neared i grew more and more confident that i was in good hands. When it was time for the last day of court i watched Jason in action. His personable demeanor as my attorney translated really well into the court room with the court personnel. Through out all my court appearances, I watched his interactions with the prosecutor. Let me tell you, i was very intimidated by the prosecutor, but Jason has this way when he talks to people, thats make them very responsive. In court he's very polite and well spoken, and respected. When he interacted with the prosecution, he always spoke with respect and he received it in return. When dealing with a court case like this, its one thing to have an attorney that is well-versed in the laws of the county and state(which Jason Ott is) but its also a great attribute to have an attorney that can be a interact well and garner the respect and trust of the court employees, especially the prosecutor. That translated well when it comes to negotiations in regards to my case. Its been almost a month that my case has concluded and I'm still in shock on how Jason got me the deal i recieved. To those people that are reading this review i must tell you, I was sure i was going to get some sort of Jail time and very severe fines. I had a very high BAC, as well as the circumstances surrounding my arrest were not typical in the worst way. Everywhere i looked online, i read that I was MORE LIKELY to recieve jail time, high fines and be denied the second chance of Court supervison,which you can only receive once in your lifetime. Did any of this happen? NO! I still don't know how he did it, but jason was able to avoid any jail time, reduce my fines to a small amount, get me court supervision, and even keep the requirements of my court supervison to a minium! After i recieved my paperwork, Jason walked me out of the courtroom and shook my hand in the hallway and wished me good luck with everything. To this day, almost a month later im still surprised how well my court case went. Jason wasn't surpised. He was always very confident in what he could deliver. In my case, not only did Jason deliver everything he said he would, he did more! I'm specifically speaking about the conditions of my court supervision. They were alot less conditions then i thought I would get. I gave Jason Ott 5 stars for an overall rating because he matched and exceeded my expectations of what I thought a DUI attorney would be. If you are reading this Jason Ott, I know i have thanked you already, but I want to thank you again for defending me, for assuring me that everything would be ok, for your patience, and for treating me as more then just a case file, but as a human being that made a mistake.
