I hired Hal to defend my employee against a felony DUI and other things. His previous lawyers held 6 hearings and were headed toward a really bad result... We fired them and hired Hal. In two hearings, the case was done. The DUI was dismissed, the other stuff was minor. In the end my employee has ...to attend some AA classes and that's it. The state didn't have a good case but the other lawyers were still cutting a terrible deal. Not to mention how many hearings they had! Hal got it done right away with a good (and fair) result. I don't want to be overdramatic, but compared to what was going to happen with the other lawyers, Hal basically saved my employee's life. And he has a wife and little kids at home, so he saved theirs too. Definitely knows his stuff, understands the client's rights, and most importantly, will FIGHT for those rights.

After discussing my case with three other attorneys, I interviewed Hal. I found that Hal was different. He asked not just about the case, but about my family and every part of my situation. Every other lawyer asked only about the offense and how much they would charge me. Two things are import...ant I learned in my case, having a bull dog that will fight for you as well as someone who is connected. That is more important then you would think. The system does not work so you better have an attorney that understands how to work the system and deal with prosecutors who want to win at any cost. Hal fought for me, my family and my future and I was lucky I had him and I only received probation instead of many years as the prosecutor wanted due Mr. Garfinkel's ability of being a great attorney.

Hal Garfinkel is the attorney i go to when I have had any traffick violations, or criminal cases to deal with. He was able to help me with a Speeding violation through a construction zone and made sure he talked the problem head on. I was thankful to have him as my attorney and defend me in court. I needed to hire an attorney to defend my minor son who received 3 citations at once while driving on the Tri-state. Speeding 101 mph in 55 mph zone, improper lane change and following too closely. Speeding charge by itself was serious enough to leave a life long smear in driving and other personal... records whatever they may be. A Great Experience I won’t go in to the particulars of our case, but it was serious. Neither my daughter nor myself had no idea who to contact for help, since neither one of us has ever been in trouble before. Where to begin. My daughter contacted a few of her friends that have had or knows someon...e who has had criminal legal problems in the past.
