Jefferey Ogden Katz is a leading professional liability litigation lawyer. Mr. Katz has handled numerous professional liability cases throughout the country. Mr. Katz and his firm regularly represents individuals, private and public corporations and law firms in litigation, trials and alternative dispute resolution involving professional liability and disciplinary issues.

Mr. Katz has personally handled numerous legal malpractice and professional liability cases.  Mr. Katz originated and obtained settlement in excess of $10,000,000 in a legal malpractice matter involving complex intellectual property matters. He originated and obtained judgment in the amount of $2,550,377 for a professional athlete in an action involving failed purchase of professional sports franchise.  Mr. Katz has first chaired action against former accountant and advisor which resulted in summary judgment in the amount of $1,386,666 for his professional athlete client.

Mr. Katz has spoken on the subject of professional malpractice and has been the Chair of the Chicago Bar Association Young Lawyers Section of Professional Responsibility Committee since 2009.

Mr. Katz is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin at Madison and Case Western Reserve University School of Law. He is admitted in the state of Illinois, state of Wisconsin, United States District Courts for the Northern District of Illinois, Western District of Wisconsin, Northern District of Indiana, United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, and has been admitted Pro Hac Vice in Wisconsin, Indiana, Kentucky and D.C. state courts.
