I have been practicing criminal law for over 30 years in DuPage, Cook, Will, Kane and Kendall Counties. I am a former Assistant State's Attorney who has prosecuted cases in the traffic, misdemeanor and felony divisions. I know both sides of a criminal prosecution very well and know how to effectively negotiate with prosecutors to gain positive results. I also represent clients at Secretary of State License Reinstatement Hearings and have success in counseling clients in their efforts to be approved for full reinstatment and restricted driving permits.

Above and beyond
Heather is extremely professional and takes a proactive approach to get things done. She represented me for my DUI case in 2011. She was great with communication and explaining the process to me in a way I could understand. She is very knowledgeable and efficient in her practice. Heather was easy to...

Knowledgeable
I recently needed some information about a case and immediately contacted Heather as a professional resource. I did this not only for her insight on the case law associated with the matter, but to also get a clear understanding from her years of experience on how the case may proceed through the cou...

Finally someone who cares...
Heather was recommended to me by a friend of mine for her secretary of state work. I had tried to obtain my license once before and was turned down. Thanks to Heathers knowledge in this field and her relationship with the state I was able to sit for a formal hearing and finally get my DL back. She is...

Ghost
Ms. Ryan asked me for a copy of my citation to give me a fee estimate. Once shared, all she did was reply with "Thanks"
Jose, as much as my office tries to accommodate everyone as quickly as possible, I apologize that it did not meet your expectations. As an eighteen year old I’m impressed with your ability to seek out legal counsel on your own. I’m glad we were able to meet the other day so I could explain your options. It seemed when you left you had a good handle on what you needed to do. I always like to meet with my clients to fee quote as it is not my practice to email such information. Please let me know if your free 30 minute consultation helped you resolve your issue. All the best, Heather.
"I endorse Heather. She is a top notch criminal defense attorney. I have known Heather for more than 20 years."
"Heather is an excellent attorney. She is very knowledgeable about her work and great at what she does. She works hard to obtain the best results for her clients and is very well regarded in the court house among her colleagues. I highly endorse this attorney."
"I endorse this lawyer. Very knowledgable and personable. An advocate for her clients. Her capabilities and ability to explain the DUI/DWI process afford me the pleasure of referring Heather without hesitation."
"I have known Heather professionally for 20 years and know her to be very knowledgeable and zealous as an advocate. I refer all of my Secretary of State driver's license reinstatement cases to her and she's been successful with every one of them. The Secretary of State's Office can be tricky to navigate, if you aren't familiar with the requirements necessary for license reinstatement. I highly recommend Heather to anyone who needs help getting reinstated."
"I endorse this lawyer. Heather is an extremely intelligent and dedicated Defense Attorney. She was a prosecutor for many years before entering private practice and is now a seasoned and well-respected Defense Attorney. She understands both sides and has an excellent rapport with the State's Attorneys Office. Heather is an experienced trial attorney as well, should a case require motion or trial work. Furthermore, she has built a strong reputation conducting Administrative Hearings before the Illinois Secretary of State and has an extremely high success rate in restoring the driving privileges of clients that have been revoked as a result of DUI conviction(s). It is without hesitation that I recommend Heather to any client in need of superior legal representation."
