As an Assistant State's Attorney, I handled thousands of cases, from petty traffic offenses to the most serious felony cases. Having had that invaluable experience as a prosecutor, I am uniquely able to assess a client's chances of success in the local criminal courts.

Additionally, I've had the opportunity to befriend many of my courtroom adversaries as well as courtroom staff. As a result, I am often able to negotiate from a familiar standpoint that typically benefits my clients.

During the course of my 6 years at the State's Attorneys office, I spent approximately ten months working on domestic violence cases, one year exclusively on DUI cases, and the last 14 months handling high-volume drug delivery/trafficking cases. Through these assignments, I became intimately familiar with constitutional issues of search and seizure, and the many bases for the suppression of evidence.

As a trial attorney, I had the benefit of trying hundreds of cases as a prosecutor, and have utilized those skills in hearings and trials for my clients. In addition to having an active trial practice, I train and coach a high school trial team which has been in the Illinois State competition finals for the past three years, and have advised the Loyola law school trial team (1994 - 1998). In this sense, I am an example of a person who not only can successfully try a case, but can teach others with less experience and training how to be effective advocates in a courtroom.

Great empathetic human being
A few years back I was getting into a lot of trouble kind of like I am now and Michelle really looked after me I didn’t hire her as a lawyer during the one time as my case is dismissed as we thought we were going to be working together she was very professional and one thing I really like the people do is take pride in their job and their work and she does and the person that says she has an agenda, Maybe you’re just not the sharpest knife in the drawer she doesn’t have an agenda she has goals and is driven enjoys what she does so it’s not an agenda it’s a plan a plan to continue to be a good person and a good lawyer and she’s doing exactly what she wants to do good for her

The Best!
I worked with Michelle on purchasing my first home and I’m so grateful I did! I felt so protected and calm through the whole process. Being new to it I knew nothing but anytime there was any small issue I worried and then Michelle would explain it and tell me not to worry at all and that reassurance was such a relief! Just her expertise was such a comfort and my closing was so smooth. She explained everything I signed and didn’t rush me and I can’t say enough good things about her!

Excellent Attorney
While other attorneys focus on overstating their capabilities to achieve new business, attorney Moore is one who understates her capabilities and accomplishes much more for her clients through the results of effective legal representation. Attorney Moore is an excellent communicator and well known by others within the judicial system in Wheaton and the western suburbs. Very cost effective and also very efficient. I was very happy with Attorney Moores services.

Traffic Court Performance Great
Michelle and her staff helped me negotiate through TWO traffic tickets that I got within a few weeks time. One was a very serious Failure to Yield to an Emergency Vehicle. Her staff was great at keeping me informed of any developments and her work got one ticket dismissed entirely and the other (more serious) out with Court Supervision. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Disappointing experience with Michelle Moore
I recently had the unfortunate experience of hiring Michelle, a criminal defence attorney, and I must say that I was deeply disappointed with her services. Throughout the entire process, she exhibited a lack of professionalism, expertise, and dedication that left me feeling let down and unsupported. First and foremost, Michelle's communication skills were severely lacking. She consistently failed to respond to my calls and emails in a timely manner, leaving me in a state of anxiety and uncertainty. It was incredibly frustrating to be left in the dark regarding important updates and developments in my case. Her lack of responsiveness made me question her commitment to my legal representation. Furthermore, Michelle's legal knowledge and expertise were questionable at best. During our consultations, she seemed ill-prepared and uninformed about the specifics of my case. I expected a criminal defence attorney to possess a deep understanding of the law and to provide strategic guidance, but Michelle's advice often felt vague and generic. It became apparent that she had not invested the necessary time and effort to thoroughly analyze my situation. In addition to her lack of preparation, Michelle's courtroom performance was underwhelming. Her arguments lacked conviction and persuasive power, failing to effectively advocate for my rights and interests. Her inability to present a strong defense greatly diminished my confidence in her abilities as an attorney. It was disheartening to witness her lackluster representation, especially considering the gravity of my legal situation. Lastly, the fees charged by Michelle were exorbitant considering the subpar level of service I received. It felt as though I was paying a premium for a service that did not meet even the basic standards of competence and professionalism. The financial burden added insult to injury, compounding my dissatisfaction with her overall performance. In conclusion, my experience with Michelle as my criminal defence attorney was deeply disappointing. Her lack of responsiveness, questionable expertise, subpar courtroom performance, and high fees left me feeling unsupported and disillusioned. I would not recommend her services to anyone seeking effective legal representation in criminal defense matters. It is crucial to find an attorney who is dedicated, knowledgeable, and truly committed to protecting your rights, and unfortunately, Michelle fell far short of these expectations.

Fraud & injustice
This lady is a complete hypocrite she gives jail sentences for the most frivolous crimes. I bet her own peers she would do slap on the wrist if any county workers gets in trouble. The movement for injustice for prosecutors start with Norton she should be ashame to even be a lawyer for other counties. This lady will give life sentence for spilling water in dupage court room. This is where injustice starts with her.

DUI? Skip.. seriously
I used Michelle for my DUI case, as have some of my friends. I truly do not think she is ethical and has her own agenda. My case is old (2012) but I was just reviewing a great attorney so thought I’d mention my poor feelings on Michelle. If you have a DUI, she will preface that she cares but in hindsight.. I wish I would have hired anyone else. Literally. Anyone else. As do my friends.

Response from Michelle Moore October 9, 2018
This is a fake review; I’ve never had a personal “agenda” other than to provide the best representation and secure the best results for my clients. I tell all of my clients that their best outcomes will happen if they follow my advice; those who do as I advise, typically have very favorable dispositions on their cases. I would love for “Jen” and “her friends” to contact my office and discuss their concerns directly so that I can address them properly — if they are legitimate.
