Biography
Mr. Wirtz was born and raised in the western suburbs. He began his career as a Mechanical Engineer and then transitioned to Law to further his education.
Mr. Wirtz gained experience and a passion for the law during law school by practicing with the University of Illinois' Civil Litigation Clinic providing free legal services to indigent Champaign-Urbana residents. Mr. Wirtz has also worked for the Federal Public Defenders and the University of Illinois’ Office of Technology Management. After law school, Mr. Wirtz ran a successful solo practice in Naperville before joining the law firm of Dreyer Foote Streit Furgason & Slocum, P.A. for five years.
Mr. Wirtz now focuses his practice in the areas of Personal Injury, Criminal and Traffic Law, Civil Litigation, and Intellectual Property, including Patent Prosecution, Patent Litigation, Trademarks and Copyrights. He is a member of the Illinois State, Kane County, and DuPage County Bar Associations.
